Jedi Starfighter headset?

Has anyone ever made a replica of the Jedi Starfighter headset? (the headset the Jedi use to communicate while in Jedi Starfighter or Jedi Interceptor). If anyone has ever made a functioning one that you can plug into a PC or mobile phone, that would be really interesting but even a cosmetic replica would be cool.

But I believe the headset in Episode III is completely "gold" or whatever color that is ...

 

well being that i play xbox with live, the black mouthpiece-ear part almost resembles that, but you could make your own type i would imagine

 

You'd think that with a certain phone company involved in promoting ROTS, they'd actually make one for cel phones!

Looking at the picture, and one some movie caps, i think this thing is not very hard. Would be cool to do, i will talk to some friends about it and let you know

It seems that the headset is very similar to padme's head band when she is in the black corset outfit (yes, I actually DID look at her head).

I saw some "Diva" headsets at Target in their One Spot. It might take some modification, but they should work. One word of caution, though: that area resets in about 2-3 weeks, and as far as I know they aren't going to be carried after that.

There is also a fairly good picture of the headset in the visual dictionary for ROTS.

 

If you or anyone else can get some pics of these headsets, please post something here. I'm a bit far from there, and I couldn't seem to find it on their website.

I also thought that once... My friends and I do a running commentary during the movies, and this was the conversation during that scene..:

Me/Padme: I feel like a pilot in this head piece..

I did see the one that Obiwannabe did, when I went to Dragon*Con in 2003. She had her's hooked up to her FRS radio, so it was a "working" headset. It looked cool.

 

I bought something like it (with out the front head strap) in pound land. I'll have ago.

 

Anyone EVER manage to get something that looks like a Jedi Starfighter headset?
