The Jedi Order is seen as a religion by non force users. You see the imperial officer that gets force choked in ANH mention it.
If you have to contort the symbols that much to get to the SW symbols, you might be reaching a bit. Just a wee bit.
I guess the similarities are there if you really want them to be, but I just see the Jedi Order symbol as a lightsaber with wings. I haven’t seen that ancient symbol before. Interesting! It looks more birdlike.
I find the topic rather interesting and stimulating, there hasn't really been much before on the possible symbolism of graphic icons in SW, AFAIK. Here is one I found most enlightening: https://www.whychristmas.com/customs/chrismons.shtml Scroll down to the one titled "The Dove", I think the resemblance to the OT Alliance bird on pilots' helmets is rather striking and noteworthy (and most likely represents Alderaan as a symbol of "peace").
