Are there any jedi that where trench coat styled cloaks? It looks like the guy with the blue lightsaber on the Jedi council discussion forums header is wearing a type of cloak with a high colar or something.

That's just his hood blowing up by the side of his face. Does look trenchcoaty though (and quite cool that way).

Actually... the only character I have seen so far with a trench is Exar Kun. (Sith)

I like the idea as well, so for my next costume I am doing a custom Jedi. She will have a sleeveless trench style cloak with an almost Goth style collar. Very "not the norm", but then again she is more of a rogue jedi anyway. :)

Wasn't Han's Endor coat very much like a trench coat? Just with a camo pattern painted on.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

    Have fun.

I am of the opinion that you should do whatever you want with your costume. As long as it's done nicely, and people recognize you are a Jedi, that's what it's all about.

Look at the one Humanoid Female Jedi on the banner, her robe isn't even close to what a "normal" jedi robe is, it's blue with a definative pattern in it. I think it's up to whomever is creating the costume.

Look at Lukes outfit from ROTJ, that is really nothing like what most of the Jedi wore, yet it looked fine. Hell it was even black.

That being said, I really prefer the more traditional Jedi Garb, in particular an Outfit simialar to what Obi Wan wears, I am going to create it, but use some slightly differant colors and textures (all subtle though).

    Good Luck!

Personally, after seeing the matrix, I think that trenchcoats just give a "I'm cool, I'm bad, and I'm gonna kick you behind" look. If you want a Jedi that says this, a trenchcoat is a must!

Humm. A Matrix look for a jedi? WHy not. With the light sabre and the leather trench coat, he'd look pretty tuff. It sort of reminds me of a Highlanderish look. Be perfect for a Jedi from Earth. :D

I haven't even finished my first Jedi outfit yet and I'm already designing my next venture. It's going to be a Sith character, so I had to think dark. One day while exploring online, I discovered a lovely little site from Merry Ol'England called Drac-in-a-Box.com! They specialize in Goth clothing and accessories very cool stuff indeed. There they have a Hellraiser jacket which is very awesome... with a few design modifications that would make a spiffy Sith costume!
