Jedi with two lightsabers?

Are there any Jedi who have been known to carry two lightsabers (not anakin)? Cause in the arena duel, I saw two Jedi who both had two sabers each. anyone have any detaisl on those people?

 

Um, there are thousands of Jedi's. It is impossible to have info on every one. And anyways, nobody can wield two sabers besides Anakin. You probably thought you saw people wielding two but you really didn't.

 

Where is it ever stated that no one but Anakin can wield two lightsabers? It's not like it's some impossible feat. Probably the reason most Jedi don't is partly because it's not tradition to do so, and partly because two lightsabers aren't much better than one against foes not armed with lightsabers (which would be most of them) and therefore unneccesary, and partly because having only one saber let's you use your other hand for other things.

 

If you read any of the starwars comics a padawans master dies in the battle of geonoses and the padawan takes his masters lightsaber

There were 6 Star Wars movies and only one time did we see a Jedi wielding two sabers.

 

Remember, Jedi use thier power for knowlege and defense. I would like to think that the use of two light sabers would be more for attack. But then again they do tend to get thier hands chopped off a lot. I would like to think that when confronted with large scale battles the jedi would carry extras along for those jedi that tend to lose a lightsaber or come with out.

 

There were several Jedi in the arena using two sabers. I guess they weren't important enough to have names.

You're wrong. There are clear instances of Jedi, alone, weilding 2 sabers in the arena. Pay close attention before so certain are you !

 

He might have a small television or may have not paid that close attention to it. Before I bought my big screen I had a smaller T.V. and it was hard to see anything in clear definition in the background of all these movies.

Even if Anakin was the only one we saw, he had to learn it from someone.

 

Watch the arena sequence frame by frame. It is very clear that some of the Jedi in the back of the scene are wielding two lightsabres.

The theory that only Anakin can use two sabres is weak, unsubtantiated logic. The only person we see get frozen in carbonite is Han Solo. Are we to infer that Vader was mistaken and that Luke would have been killed in the freezing process? I think not.

 

In one of the the Episode II web documentaries there's an extra Jedi showing off his skills with two sabers in front of the camera, not sure if he used two in the movie, but it seems like I remember them saying something about it.

 

Or that because Darth Maul is the only Sith we've seen wielding a double bladed lightsaber, does that mean only Sith have double bladed lighsabers, and only Darth Maul has the skill to wield it?

No.

Besides Anakin only uses two sabers at very specific times in the movies. Generally we only see him using one.

Case it point- Wielding a double bladed or two sabers requires more skill than the average joe single blade. However it does not mean that any Jedi is completely incapable of handling two blades at the same time. It's just a skill set.

Besides this is Star Wars, anything is possible.

So, in the same vein, only Windu uses a purple lightsabre? No-one else in history has used one?

Just because you only clearly see Anakin wielding two sabres is hardly reasoning for him being the *only* wielder. There's only about 30 planets shown in the entire Star Wars saga - does that mean the galaxy is only made up of 30 worlds? What a load of rubbish.

 

Also, Anakin wasn't even that good with the 2 lightsabers. For like the first 2 of the 5 seconds he had them it was impressive, and then he was just kind of waving them around.

 

I was referring mainly to the Jedi who gave Obi and Anakin thier sabers in the arena. One ofr Obi I can understand, but they had no clue Anakin was even coming. Jedi dont carry extra lightsabers in case one gets lost, because of the imortance of a saber. You cna see how obi stresses it to anakin outside of the club. Sabers are too important to have on and not use it. So we can assume they wielded two sabers.

To beleive only anakin can wield two is retarded. anakin doesnt even wield two often. in the EU, at least 3 or 4 beings wield 2 sabers. and in ep3, grievous wields 2 at one point. I have wielded two swords at one point during practice, and while I am not very good at it, neither is anakin. (he lost one, then later his arm)

Shut the hell up and lose your ignorance. While I did not see this either, I will keep it in mind to look whenever i watch AOTC again. Better yet, maybe someone can get pictures of this.

Exactly. There was novelty in Anakin using 2 sabers, but no skill. He was probably making it up as he went along. Compared to Ventress using 2 sabers in the cartoon, Anakin was horrible. I bet any Jedi could have done as well as he did then.

And if you want to go with EU, yes, there's many others. Mace and OB1 both used 2 sabers at some points. Plus there was Sora Bulq, A'sharad Hett, Grievous, and probably many others. (although I'm sure many of those dual-saber characters were invented after the concept was introduced in AOTC)

There were six movies, and only one time did we see a Podrace. Does this mean that there was only one Podrace ever? No. Only one time did we see a rancor. Does that mean there was only one rancor in the universe? No.

 

plus you can use to lightsabers in like a whole bunch of video games.........im just sayin ya know.

also ifanakin was the only one able to use to lightsabers y didnt he continue to use them all along....and just incase someone says that he beets dooku with two lightsabers....technically he defeated dooku with ine bue he killed him with two....after chopping of his hands he didnt need to kill him.

 

Luke Toolwalker what about the books and the time darth mauls saber was cut in half that makes 2 count em 2 sabers
