After reading alot of messages, I am really curious to know this.......

Do Jedi's age slower and the Sith's age faster?

I have read somewhere that Qui-gon was around 60 years old when he died. That would mean that Dooku would have to be at least 80-85.

Can anyone help me understand this?

They don't age differently than normal, but supposedly the dark side corrupts and damages the body of the user.

    Three Points:

    1) Jedi do not age slower then Sith.
    2) Qui-Gon was in his fifties when he died.
    3) Dooku was 80 in AOTC.

I think a Sith would age rapidly depending on his/her knowledge and mastery of the dark side of the Force. The Jedi, who are highly attuned to the light side of the Force, don't age quicker.

In TPM novel it stated that Qui-Gon Jinn was sixy.

since a "year" is relative to every planet and its rotation around the respective sun it might mean that years in SW are simply not the same as years on Earth. LOTR is similar. in the novel Aragorn is nearly 200 years old when he dies, Frodo is 50 etc. although their biological appearances betray that

take a look at vader and palps in ROTJ, its obvious the dark side does something to their appearance, after all ani's only supposed to be about 40/45 there

I think the real keys are Palps and Qui-Gon. Qui-Gon, a master of the living force, is sixty in TPM but looks in his 40's. Palps, however old he is, ages tremendously between TPM and AOTC. Then look at the way he appears in ROTJ, not very attractive. Yoda's line also makes me think whether the force can sustain you:

Luke: Master Yoda you can't die
Yoda: Strong am I with the Force, but not that strong.

I always felt that this meant that the Force sustains your life, and if you were strong enough, you could live forever.

Well, when they filmed ROTJ, Lucas envisioned Anakin to be in his 60's- which is why he looks so old in that film.

When he wrote TPM, Lucas decided to use a different timeline than was originally intended, so now Anakin is younger.

I guess the two best explanations would be either the darkside does accelerate the aging process or Anakin's appearance in ROTJ has more to do with his fall into the volcano and the damage it caused to his body (and, perhaps, any resulting surgery during recovery).
