Rogue One Jimmy Smits (Bail Organa) in Rogue One

I think this might be Bail Oragana ... looks to be the size and stature of Jimmy Smits talking with Mon Mothma?

Any thoughts?

 

Remember, he loves the cape over the shoulder look, so it fits his fashion sense...

 

So....confirmed?! How exciting. Makes sense that he'd be there in the same room with Mon Mothma. The Rebellion's head honchos conferring. Could that be General Dodonna there too?

Could be but I wouldn't commit to it.

Obviously he should be in some form and it makes total sense and it certainly suggests it's him by the way it looks but then again it might be his brother Zail Organa.

Wouldn't it be great if he shows up in the next trailer? It was so great seeing everyone so excited when Mon Mothma was revealed in the first, so imagine what reaction Bail Organa would garner.

 

Love seeing this. Bail was a character I thought was horribly underused in the PT. I wanted to see a LOT more of him. Glad he gets another chance to shine. I hope they got Jimmy Smits for the part.

 

If Bail is in this movie, i wonder if his droids are in this movie?

That's awesome! Bail was a great character in the Prequels and TCW. Hope it is the same actor.

 

The droids of his friend, if we are splitting hairs.

 

I don't see why he wouldn't be in it, he is a big player in the early days of the alliance, remember Force Unleashed? (Now Legends). And like what was said previous, he's a good actor

 

I'm pretty sure that is NOT Jimmy Smits.

Oh it will if Bail is in the Movie he should definitely be played by Smits.

 

If it is Bail, I don't see why they wouldn't have gotten Smits to play him. I mean, they went after the actress whose scenes were cut from ROTS for Mon Mothma.

 

Whoever it is, he looks pissed that there's a camera literally in his face.

 

I hope that's Bail. Of course if that's him he's gotta make it clear that he's going to Alderon (spelling?). And if it is him I wonder if we could see a scene where he sends a message to Leia saying whatever leia was saying about him in her message to Obi-Wan. Didn't leia say something like "many years ago you fought along side my father in the clone wars, now he needs your help." Something like that, don't remember exact lines. So you would think things are going pretty bad to the point that Bail realizes that he needs to get Obi Wan out of his hiding to come help.

 

Ask me again when there isn't a camera covering 85% of his face. (My initial reaction is no)

 

It's just a bit too hard to be sure from that image, with the camera concealing most of his face...but it DOES look a LOT like him-it would beg a large coincidence if it were someone else!

I REALLY hope it's Bail. Not only does it make sense to see him in R1, but I'm so glad to see more of him-especially when we're "about" to see Alderaan get destroyed, chronologically...


Man, with every new thing I learn about this movie, I get more and more excited! I wonder, am I in danger of enjoying this film even more than the saga films!?!?!!??

It sure looks like Bail Organa, the way his cape is draped over one shoulder. I wish there was a clearer picture to confirm it; but it does look like Jimmy Smits is back, as I expected. Or It better be Smits, if it is Bail Organa.

 

If they've gone to the trouble of getting Genevieve O'Reilly it would be an insult to not have Jimmy Smits. That is probably why they've obscured his face, they know it would be spotted and they're just getting everyone talking until they want to reveal it.
