Join us on MySpace...

For those of you on MySpace I have launched a new page parked for the movie added about 30 minutes ago. The remaining scenes will finally be shot starting May/June and will be undergoing some serious reconstruction of events and trimming down. As we reach closer to the end of shooting and editing we will be asking for Saber roto help, but for now just take that with a grain of rice.

Unfortunately a chapter of my life is about to end mutually, but it will spark a new beginning and we are moving forward with a positive outlook and I will now have more time to devote to my work.

Yeah, not a fan of that place. no offense to those who are on it.

 

I too have a fear of MySpace. But I don't see it as irrational.

Imagine a scenerio like this:
That place has such a reputation now as a preying ground for sexual predators. Imagine stumbling on to someone's profile that is a minor posting a bad picture. Now you have an underage image in your cache, and a database having tracked that you were there.

Even unintentionally, you could find yourself in a world of trouble.

So, I don't go anywhere friggin near it.

 

Geeze... Had no idea there was so much backlash for Myspace. Well I guess that's something I'll take to heart. If anything I won't accept connections unless it's specifically about the movie.

I have my own personal space, but I don't add anyone to be friends list except my core group of friends that I know. I don't just add anyone... I just thought it would be a good place people waiting for more info could join up for updates. I really never thought of that in the midst of some of the things I have rarely heard.

It's cool and I totally understand. I guess I'll just stick to the regular website if this becomes a failure, hahaha!

I've had very good luck with MySpace, to my suprise. Have come back in touch with a lot of old schoolfolk and made a number of casual contacts with others interested in the same field.

 

With the MySpace Film account feature, it is a easy way to post some of my videos while I continually try to figure out how to create my own.

The only bad experience with it is ever since I posted my film, I get all sorts of friend requests from countless Star Wars geeks I don't and probably would never know.


Good thing there's a "Deny" button. I mean.. those people with like 11,000 friends. Who're they trying to fool?

Myspace is a hangout for creepy emo kids and sexual predators . I don't go anywhere near it.

thx for joing up! I changed the main character on the page cuz I think what I had to begin with was a little creepy with my photo all angry looking. That's the bad guys, so I changed it to be more friendly, hahah!

Yeah I think the media makes small isolated incidents into a massive public awareness freak out. It happens to maybe 3 known people out of how many millions are on there and then it's worldwide panic. Just be smart about it. If you are dumb enough to tell people where exactly you live... I dunno... play it smart.

Anyway thanks for the invites so far. We got 15 so far and more on the way!

And yes, yer still rotoing if you want It will be a while before I throw clips up. I'm moving soon (again), so closer to mid-summer I'll have stuff to give out.

That's probably the most paranoid way of looking at myspace ever... if you ask me. Myspace, I hate, because of the types of people on it, not the fact that I might accidentally have kiddie pr0n on my cpu. If you think you'll be caught with that kind of material on your computer, then you're more likely to if you're giving it out to people, not because you visited myspace. It is a useful tool and I have kept in touch with many friends on it (not anymore though, being in college lends you facebook, which is vastly superior).

BTW. Hey Fruity, I live outside of Memphis too.
