I have been reading the hand of thrawn series and it mentions the information broker/smugglar/pirate Jorj car'das, and Shada & Talon Karrde are going to get information from him about getting a full version of the cammas document. since He has such a hugh library about galactic affairs I am wondering if it played any part during the Vong invasion, or possibly during the upcoming books. I have also wondered if Jorj Car'das knew about the impending invasion since he has spent alot of time in the unknown regions and wild space, it would be only speculation now since we don't hear anything about it in the NJO books.

Does anybody think that the library and information in it will play a part in later books?

Possibly. It's definetly one of those unused intriguing-possibilites plotlines.

He wasn't used in the NJO, But he wouldn't have known anything about The Vong. They came from outside the galaxy, and had only been seen a couple times

Actually you can't say that we have no reason to believe that he didn't know anything about the Vong. In fact, all sources around Cardas suggest he knows a great deal that others do not.

You can find a few more tidbits about him in Survivor's Quest. And I do believe that there's going to be a connection between him and the forthcoming Dark Nest Trilogy and/or the 9-book Post-NJO arc. What that connection will be, I don't know.

It would be nice to see that connection, but we won't know until the series starts up in August. but it still would be cool to see that he may have known something is going to hapen eventually.

Although didn't old Jorj die in VOTF, I am on page 386 now and I saw that he is pretty much a complete wreck, this is the second time I have read this book but I am trying to remember if he dies or not.

    yeah keep reading.
He wouldn't have known much other then a couple strange sightings of an technology hating group on a planet that disapeared.
