I'm still in the old gen (Xbox, Gamecube) and it's been a while since I got a game...

Is Justice League Heroes worth getting?

    If you like button mashing.

I thought it was a decent enough game. Just dont expect anything jaw dropping.

Based upon the reviews, it really isn't. There are levels where you're stuck with a certain set of heroes, then it opens up to where you can use any hero in the mission. At this point, you find out that the additional heroes you finally get to access are much better than the starting heroes, and you start using them and leveling them. Then towards the end, you're stuck using a limited set of heroes... The ones that you probably haven't used since you got the freedom to use your own choices. And you see that they're woefully underpowered since they didn't level at all. I'd give it a rental at best.

It is cool though to unlock the other green lanterns and certain costumes.

Yeah I'v got it. I love it.

Id definately reccomend it if you can buy it for like £10/£15. uh $20/$30.

I probably love it because Im a Justice League fanboy.

I am a fairly big DC comics fan, so it actually is with a heavy heart that I say JLH is ONLY worth your money if you can purchase it at a pretty cheap price. (Really, it's sort of a lame take on the Marvel RPG/Action games. If anything, I felt "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" was leagues better. Er, no pun intended.)

It's odd that, in the grand scheme of things, Marvel has a vastly better track record of game quality over DC.

Is Ultimate Alliance better than X-Men Legends?

I think it is. What system are you looking at playing it on?

Bigger and better roster. Added a feature that lets you build your own team and level it up, which gives bonuses to it's performance.

In terms of stat building they kind of dumbed it down though. :( You can only equip one item at a time and you no longer get points to put into Strike, Body and Focus. On the upside you get 4 costumes which have their own bonuses that you can build up to customize your character.

As for Justice League Heroes, avoid it like the plague. It's the poor mans Ultimate Alliance. Maybe worth a rent to a DC fanboy but for everyone else it's a waste of time and money.

I thought it was nice that Ultimate Alliance was simplified from X-Men. In the latter, I often found myself spending more time in the menu than the actual game, trying to level myself as well as all my friends up, and distribute everything fairly. This kind of makes it easier.

Meh, dumbing down an already easy game is never a good thing. UA is still a decent game but it would have been better and had more longevity with a bit more complexity.

I liked it. The story was pretty good and the combat was fun, if simple. Plus it had Kyle Rayner and thats all I need.

No. However, I did think Ultimate Alliance was better than X-Men Legends: Rise of Apocalypse, but the first XML is great fun.

It's a fun game, but it's long. And it gets kinda hard sometimes. Martain Manhunter is downright hilarious in this game. He says stuff like:

    "These things are hurting me!"

I enjoyed it quite a bit on PSP... Its pretty much the only game I have for it, other than GTA and Burnout. Plus, Green Arrow is awesome, in-game and out hehe...
