Ok, is this a gag? In the last two weeks, I saw a thread about Chris Masterson (Francis on MITM) wanting/auditioning to be Anakin in ATOC.

 

He'd have been a horrible Anakin

 

WHAT! Reese as Anakin? God no!

 

Come on, you're not even entertaining the possibility of it. Not Reese, the character from Malcolm in the Middle as young Anakin. Justin Bergfield the actor. Maybe he would have been a good Anakin. Who knows?

 

No, he wouldn't. He'd be an awful Anakin.There was another thread that talked about how Chris Masterson also tried for the role Anakin. Masterson, I could possibly see. He play Francis on MITM and does angsty and rebellious very well, as its how his character was written.But Berfield? No way.

 

You're stuck on one role he plays. Masterson might have been good because Francis is angsty and rebellious? Come on. It is possible for actors to play different types of characters. Just because you're used to seeing Justin Bergfield as Malcolm's obnoxious older brother doesn't mean he couldn't have pulled off being an overall nice slave boy. I'm not saying for sure he would have done it well. I'm just saying your complete dismissal of the possibility is unfounded.

 

He would've been terrible.

I'm surprised that no one mentioned that he was in the documentary in the DVD, as one of the guys audtioning for Anakin in TPM.

 

OMG, I never realized one of those TRULY DREADFULL CHILD ACTORS was Reese from MITM. I'm going to have to look at that again.
