I have just received a Kellogg's Clone Trooper Helmet I won on eBay. I was wondering if anyone here has modded or customized one of these, and if you have any tips or suggestions. I would like the helmet to be more movie-accurate and if possible smaller. It looks huge on my head.

Note: I have looked at a few sites on this topic via Google already. I wanted to get some ideas from you guys as well.

BIGGER? Woah. I must just have a small head.

Anyways, here's what I've scrapped up so far:

    http://www.geocities.com/tkvanb/clonetrooperhelmet.html

    http://www.azeem2000.com/clonetrooper/helmet.shtml

    http://radler.homestead.com/CLONETROOPER.html

Another mod I want to attempt is one used commonly on Stormtroopers' helmets. You cut out any black areas on the helmet (vent holes mainly) and put black thin fabric on the inside. This allows for better ventalation. Some fans even put small PC fans on the inside on these cloth vents to aid circulation.

I've had one for a while, but it's rather small. If I had two I would mod it, but it looks just fine sitting next to my Vader :)

Small? Geez, I guess I need to order a bigger head.

But then again, the Clones have pretty big helmets anyway if i recall...

i dont have any link but you will want to pick up the cheapo "kids" clone helmet by rubies to help with the conversion.its the one thats in a plastic hanger type of package.i think you can get them at party city still.
the fin on the cheapo helmet is a perfect fit once you widen out the cornflake helmet.also the chin on the cornflake helmet is kinda flat.again, the cheapo rubies helmet has a better looking chin.you can cut it out and glue it onto the other helmet.then bondo in the edges.

a friend of mine recently did his and used bondo to fill in that gap that occurs down the side once you open it up and glue it in place.his turned out great.

ive got one as well but havent started the conversion.

    The Azeem2000 link is mine.

The mods are easy. They just take some time. I'm working on my next helmet now actually (Arctrooper). I gave my first one to Tim Knapp (501st Legion CO).

WEll, thanx for all the helpful stuff.

Jeez, I expected more from THE Star Wars costuming & prop forum.

You probably already found the majority of websites that are out there.

There isn't as large amount of information on the Clone Trooper compared to the classic trilogy armour.

If you are looking for alternative sources try ASAP (A Site About Props) and RPF (Replica Prop Forum). Both places cover more than just Star Wars, but they are both good resources.

You can also check with your local 501st Garrison. Clone Troopers are in between as to which category they fall into but the majority of people who make them have also done regular trooper armour so there is likely to be some information over there if someobody has made one.

    Hope that helps.

It does take a lot of time & patience.

Sweet... I've got my clone armour (untrimed)... and a second Clone Helmet...

The armour is cheap and cracked alread... but the plan is to fibreglass the inside of the pieces... to stregthen... trim... then of course go Arc Trooper!... And I will SO be adding electronics to the wrist panel! to control the fans, AMP, scope arm, and what ever else I can think of...
