i was just checkin out the OS and during the Clone Wars, for an unspecified amount of time, while obi-wan was presumed dead, the council assigned anakin to mundi to complete his training.....interesting to say the least

    any thoughts?

That should mean that Anakin had quite a good relationship with Ki-Adi-Mundi.
    ...I think, anyway.

Wow...that would be so cool to make a book out of.

Thought: Why would they think Obi was dead? Wouldn't Anakin or somebody have a connection with him through the force?

That's awesome. I never knew that.

Why in the blue heck doesn't Yoda just train him? If you ask me, he and he alone should have been the only one to train Anakin. The Chosen one isn't someone you fool around with.,

Yoda was getting paid in Twi-Lek dancing girls by Palps to make sure that Anakin, you know...fell from grace!

Twi-Lek: We are here for your pleasure, master Yoda.
Yoda: Show you why I am the master, I will.
    Twi-Lek: But you're so small...
Yoda: Size matters not? I hope...

maybe kenobi had was shielding himself from other force users in order to surivive...i dont know what happened to him that everyone thought he was dead, but i do recall reading that he led his troops into battle and both sides suffered terrible casualties and obi-wan was thought to be among them

I think only yoda should have been allowed to train him, but then again if dooku was yoda's padawan, that didnt turn out so well did it?

I think Ki-Adi Mundi becomes his Master in one of the new comics I have not read. Let's just say that according to rumor Ki-Adi Mundi is quite pleased when Obi-Wan returns.

Yes, Ki-adi was Anakin's master for a short period of time while Obi-Wan was presumed dead. This is in Republic 58-62

Dooku wasn't Yoda's padawan. Yoda trained him as a youngling in a clan. Dooku's personal Master was Jedi Master Thame Cerulian.

Spoilers below if you wish not to see them skip this post

Obi Wan was presumed dead during the Battle of Jabin. It was an assault where MANY Jedi perished and Obi Wan along with the ARC Trooper Alpha were thought to have perished trying to save a group of Clone Troopers who were inside a downed AT-AT before it blew.

The AT-AT blew before Anakin Skywalker's own eye's and he presumed Obi Wan dead and then he along with the remaining Clone Troopers evacuated Jabin without haveing physical evidence of Obi Wan's death. During that time Obi Wan was actually captured by Dooku's pawn the Dark Jedi Assai Ventress (Think I slaughtered the name bad.).

During the time of Obi Wan's captivity Anakin was placed under the command of Ki Adi Mundi and his former apprentice now Jedi A'Sharad Hett (Former Tuskan initiated in his trainning by his father Sharad Hett also known as the Howlrunner before his death at the hands of Aurra Singg *another slaughter of a name* ).

During the time we learn Anakin's rank in the Clone Wars as well and that is Commander. (So it does run in the family hehe) After this they enter another engagement and Anakin fights alongside both Ki and A'Sharad and alot of hinting to the Dark Side of Anakin is revealed in that series ::grins:: All in all a VERY good read.
