I.E., CA King Arthur

Anyone seen the King Arthur trailer yet?
I did when I went to see The Ladykillers (reeeally bad movie, shame)
It was an awesome trailer anyway! Keira looks really neat, she'll make a cool Guenivere. I'm really interested to see it because they definitely seem to have gone for the nitty gritty, actual old Anglo-Saxon feel to the movie...ie. very dirty. Not all the fairy tale fantasy stuff and costumes....Guen seems to be some kind of normadic tribal princess or something. They show her as a warrior with all the leather stuff where she has no boobs, and in regular princess looking attire. It looks cool.

The film does look cool. It is set, too, in the proper timeframe for Arthur: around 600's AD. At this time, the Roman were leaving Britain, and things were in a bit of turmoil, thus arose the legend of Arthur, a King to unite people in a time of dire need.

Guenevere(sp) looks very appropriately to be Celtic, not quite Pictish (the Picts used to paint themselves entirely blue during battle, quite often) with her blue swirled warpaint.

The Saxons and Normans came later (Normandy was an area "settled" by the French...and Saxony was more the local English...they didn't get along well either)...

Oh, and Hi Victoria... thought I'd invade the California boards...back to Kentucky with me now...
