According to the New Essential Cronology , among the Jedi who survived the Great Jedi Purdge was the "Whiped master K'Kruhk, who took a young Padawan under his wing and followed clues to the mysterious 'Hidden Temple', a rumored place for harried Jedi to hide from the Emperor's hunters."

Now, K'Kruhk was about the same age as Qui-Gon Jinn, but Whiped's may have a longer lifespan than Humans... and his padawan would still be alive even if he/she were a Human.

Do you think that K'Kruhk and his freakin sweet hat might come upon Luke and his New Jedi Order in Legacy of the Force? And what do you think would happen if they did meet?

Isn't LotF supposed to be about the different generations of Jedi, mabye this implies contact with the remnants of the old Jedi? Mabye K'Kruhk can help to finaly smash the idea of the Potentium from the NJO? Or at least bring some knowledge of the old Jedi to Luke and the new.

    No he wasn't.

    Try same age as Obi-Wan.

K'Krukh was still a padawan in 33 BBY.

Didn't Luke stumble on to some Jedi's hideaway on Toola in COPL? Maybe that was K'Kruhk, and if so, he's dead.

    here's my idea for this:

Between the LOTF and Dark Nest Trilogy, during a council meeting, Kyle Katarn says something to Luke. "Oh, hey man, I forgot to tell ya, when I was on my mission in the Unknown Regions hunting that Force Sensitive YV, I came across her, and her master, both dead on the floor. Next to them was this big hairy thing with a really cool hat (I would have taken that hat but it would clash with my shoudler pad). He was in some sort of hibernation/healing trance, because he was severely wounded during the fight. I stuck him in the trunk of my ship.....actually he's been there during the entire Dark Nest Issue.....should we go check on him?"

    hehe

The Toola Jedi was a humanoid Jedi Library clerk. It can't be K'Kruhk.

I realise I risk getting my head screwed with by asking this but.......

who is K'kruhk? Please if possible I would love some real factual background info, not just confusing mind boggling stuff about the hat!!!!

Also, I am wondering how it is pronounced. I tend to read it as kruk kruk but I know that can't be right!

If Luke and K'Kruhk met, the Jedi Order might actually be able to redeem itself. We can only hope.

Why the stars? Mods, what is happening?

Apparently my pronunciation instructions caused my whole post to be turned into four asterisks. Why? I've never seen this happen before. It's fine without the pronunciation now. I don't get it.

But anyway, pronunciation is like "cup" and then "duck," except leave off the "p" and replace the "d" with "kr." Maybe that'll get through.

Whiphid Jedi master. Padawan of Lilit Twoseas. A side character in the Republic comic series. Withdrew from the Clone Wars at the beginning, but came back into the fold after a failed assassination attempt by Assaj Ventress. Successful Clone Wars career. May have been Jedi advisor to Senator Viento. Order 66 survivor.

You forgot, "Got whupped by General Grievous."

And I don't see it being all that momentous, just kinda cool. And we might just get a PT Jedi sticking around long enough to properly school Luke's NJO. But just because K'Kruhk survived 66 doesn't mean he's still around NJO time. He could have gotten killed.

2ndQuest! Behold thy handiwork! That sweet freakin' hat line of yours is starting to accrue some credability, at this rate it'll match Ludicrous' Fett being the Mayor of Sernpidal line for becoming a thing believed true! :)

They must meet. How else will Luke gain the powers of the freakin' sweet hat and restore balance to the galaxy?

That is exactly what I hope would come of it as well. Vergere poisoned the Jedi Order with her ideas of the Potentium.... but hopefully K'Kruhk (and his freakin' sweet hat of course, which would awe the NJO into submission) can be the antidote.

If K'Kruhk is to meet anyone it needs to be Luke. So he can pause as he hears the name Skywalker. I would want Luke to be on a solo mission where he just happens to bump into a mysterious Jedi he has never seen before. Brought together by the force to complete the same mission.

Hope Luke doesn't get attacked... Skywalker isn't a good name to have when the last Skywalker K'Kruhk knew betrayed the Jedi.

Oh man, K'Kruhk still alive by the NJO?

If Delray can convince me that this goofy toothed fur beast is STILL alive then I've fallen for another faulty K'kruhk death again.

It'ld be interesting, but like most of you seem to agree, what would be even more interesting is reading the retcon as to why he and his freiken' sweet hat have been absent for so long.

Is K'Kruhk even aware that it was Anakin that betrayed the Jedi?

well, we won't really know until we figure out his exact story regarding the 66 escape, and exactly what hidden temple he is hiding.

I wouldn't want Luke to meet K'Kruhk UNLESS this "Hidden Temple" is worked into a sweet plotline. If he's gonna meet K'Kruhk, let's have it be frickin' sweet and, more importantly, meaningful, eh?

(Hehe...every time I hear "Hidden Temple" I think Olmec and the Green Monkeys...Nickelodeooooon)

Hidden temple or not, I'm sure K'hurk, if alive, would be at least aware of larger galactic events-the fall of thr empire, the YV invasion etc...
