Well, I've seen both of those movies, but I couldn't tell you if it's the same person.

I'd need to see them again and look for it, and I don't have a copy of either.

Knightquest actually had a really good and "all-star" cast for a fanfilm, IMO.

I thought some of the actors were good, some weren't.

Doria, I thought, was the weakest of the cast, which is precisely why I looked her up (no, I don't know why, either).

    Still, darn good flick.

You thought she was ? I found the male actors to be way below the girls.

// insert extraordinarily hilarious sexual joke of some kind here

I think the best actor in there (besides the always reliable Ben Fletcher) was Michelle O'Keefe as Tara something-or-other, the spacer type.

I can understand why some might find Ulic (old Jedi Master dude) to not be so good. But I got the sense that he was speaking in that strange monotone for a reason. A stylistic choice--perhaps not a good one, but a choice, not a lack of an alternative.

My personal opinion is that Doria was the best actor of the bunch. I thought she did an excellent job. I think she was also in a commercial too not so long ago.

i noticed this same thing about karina ya shes suppose to be like the furrari drivers girlfriend in the car with him
"whats the retail on one of those?"
"more then you can afford pal, furrari"
but her shades and stuff conceil her pretty well

as far as knightquest goes i agree they had a pretty good cast but when you have a film that shortand waiting that long for it the performance is more valuble then it would be for like episode 2 plus sometimes it wasnt the actors it was the dialogue "bring it on nerve hurter" wasnt the best choice even though it was suppose to be a cute refference to the classic trilogy

Yeah, also did anyone else just laugh at Karina's expressions once she saw Dannik die? I mean me and my friend watched it and just couldn't help but laugh. I know she was trying her best and did a pretty good job too, but the fact that it's fan film kinda down grades the acting of it pretty well, tough to be emotional in a fan film and having it be taken seriously.

The man was such a horrid actor.

It is really good to see the actors of our little sub-genres go on to be in other, bigger things!

I thought that the face she made of her brother's demise in the movie was fitting...actually I found it disturbingly too real!
Ugly, just plain ugly is all I can attach to it!
The acting wasn't that bad...I think the script was a little up and down that's all.
Dannick and the old Jedi Master had the best lines next to of course (Fletcher's) Vader.

Yes, now that you mention it, she really does look like the girl in Gone in 60 sec.
The one having sex, while Nicholas Cage & Angelina Jolie are outside watching.

That IS her making out inside while Cage and Jolie are stealing the Lamborghini.

I thought Doria did a fine job in KQ. Probably the best of the bunch. Then again, KQ suffers the way most SW films suffer, in the stilted dialogue. But that's just part of SW, you can't talk "normal", it just doesn't sound right.

The fact that she's quite attractive didn't hurt, either.. :D

I was looking for her when I first saw "The Fast & The Furious", and picked her out easily enough.

be realistic. acting (in fanfilms) in general sucks. this isn't always the fault of the acter though. dialogue and direction (or lack thereof) are big factors in an actor's performance.

    Knightquest was no different.

dannik did an ok job for the annoying brother
karinia did an pretty good job compaired to most
and her expression when dannik was killed was hilarious
dannik shouldve been impailed through the back like lord rive of duality or soemthing instead of the hand dropping the saber
i think vaders dialogue was written very well

the ending was meh so so i though karina would save tara from being taken to slavery and itd be the 2 divas out in the galaxy

the saber chrographing couldve been a little better
the guy actor as ulicc wasnt bad
"you must be insane" was a good line
"nev-er" and similar dialogues he acted out flat and lame

not that my opinion reflects anyone elses nor that i wouldve been able to do better but thats my opinion cause i never gave my 2 cents about knightquest before
by the way karina is in another film on ifilm.com about some bank robbery its kind of lame but her acting wasnt bad check it out

She's not the only fanfilm actor to go onto bigger and better projects. Leah McLeod has been on Australian TV and radio quite a bit since playing Mara Jade in TDR. :)

Actually I agree with DarkATX, I think her shock expression was very fitting and disturbing. That was actually my favorite part in the movie. Maybe some of you think your reaction would be different if someone you knew or were related to died right in front of you similar to that...but I thought it was a very fitting moment that didn't need dialogue to express it. How many times have we heard and seen fan films use..."NOOOO!!!!!!"

They did something very unique and I believe Dorian pulled it off beautifully.

I think she did very well with the look too, but it being a fan film I just couldn't help but laugh.

And TDR is on IMDB? Wow, I want my film on there. I wonder how that's done though. That would be cool.

Sau-Den, you can submit films to IMDB, but an actual human makes sure the movie is established... basically, it either needs to have someone established in it, or have been shown in places besides the Internet and little local things.

Fan films on IMDB include TDR (presumably there 'cause it was so damn big and impressive, and the actors have been in other projects), Rogue (a couple of the actors have been in stuff, and it seems that Semaj has PAed things), a couple of Fenn's stuff (he's a pro, so is, of course, Lowell Cunningham), Evan Mather's stuff (how DID this get here? did he win a festival prize or something?) and Troops (famous as heck).

Other fan films I bet could make it on there include Knightquest (for Doria), Duality (for being famous), anything on AtomFilms (for being shown on TV).
