SWRPF Archive kotor 2 how to enable cheats on vista

sry if someone else already posted this silution on this web site. didnt have time to look over all the threads. anyway alot of people have been having turble enabling cheats for kotor 1 & 2 on windows vista and after alittle bit of tinkering i got it working on my computer. here's how... (note: havnt tried it for kotor 1 yet so dont know if it will work)

1) first of all you have to (on vista) give your self permission to edit files and folders to do this right click on the swkotor2 folder under "prgram files/lucasarts" and go to properties. then go to security and click on the "Edit...." button that comes after "to change permission, click Edit.". now give the "Users ("username"-PC\Users)" full control over the folder by clicking on the allow button thats for "Full control". this will let you save changes to the files.

2) now if you go into the swkotor2 folder there will be a "swkotor2.ini" file. but editing this file did not work for me. however if you look at the top middle of the window there should be a button (beside "burn") lebbeled "Compatibility Files" with a folder picture beside it. if you click on it, it will go to another folder that should have a swkotor.ini file in it. open it with notepad. you should notice that this file has more text. under [Game Options] add the line "EnableCheats=1" without the "". save the .ini document. now copy and past this swkotor2.ini file to the previus swkotor2 folder.

3) after i did this i was able to press ~ ingame and use cheats. hope it works for you too. and make sure to make copies of the origenal .ini files in case you screw up.
