KotOR freezing on Anchorhead

I'm playing KotOR on my Xbox 360 and everytime I enter Anchorhead, the game freezes. It is after I talked to the Sand People chief and am coming back to Anchorhead to get his Vaporators. I've tried both coming through the main gate and also teleporting to the Ebon Hawk and entering from their. I have also tried different party combinations and different equipment. I have also tried to wipe the disc off with a dry eyeglass cloth.

If anybody has any advice to offer it would be very helpful.

 

I have that issue. I tried both of my KoTOR disks!

So it's not just me.
This is satisfying to know.
But unfortunate.

 

I've searched other site. This seems to be a common problem.

 

Bummer.
I had what I consider to be my best game in progress.
It's odd, I've played the game full way through before on my 360 and it's never happened. Then several months ago it did.
Oh well I suppose. I doubt there's any fix to be had.

 

KoTOR is known for glitchy bugs like that. I would always get frustrated playing KoTOR 2 because my lightsaber would stick or I couldn't get a cut scene to initiate.
