    I'm just wondering if there was a mod that allowed you to use the player character models in the first game for Sith Lords. There were a couple that I played with all the time and I would love to he able to use them in the second game.

    I'd suggest looking here

    Been there, done that. I found one that looked a little like one of the selectable models but I seem to remember there was a mod that added or replaced the Sith Lords heads with the ones from the first game. Any ideas?

    For most of them, probably not. It's considered porting, since the games were developed by 2 diff't companies. Porting is illegal. Unless some of those head files were in K2's file discs.
    Try here at lucasforums. You can try a search for a mod, or request someone to make some that are similar/ same. And they'd be able to explain the porting issue a little better.

    Didn't Stofe, or was it Holowan Labs that created a TSL MOD for that? The "Kreia's got a mechno-hand MOD" was sweet, especially if u like Sunriders and stuff. :p I haven't logged in there in at least a year, but I'm almost certain this topic has been covered by a hack over there.

    Thanks. Since you brought it up, wasn't part of the issue with porting or modding (Bioware does not allow any discussion on modding KOTOR) because Lucasarts were upset about the story and thus disallowed fixes, updates, ect to leave it in the mess it's in?

    I hate Holowan Labs. That is one of the hardest moderated sites I have ever seen.

    Indeed. They have a Executer size ego there, why they are so impressed with themselves escapes me. And the one or two heads I would have liked link to a failed download page.

    Never bothered with their website, only picked off their MODs as they were posted at LF. Elitists, they are.. for sure.:p

    Yeah, idk. I think it's just a Lucasarts policy that they don't allow them between their games. I think it's pretty stupid, but with contracts and money and what not, they probably just want to avoid any legal problems with other companies profiting from the others work. Which is weird because I figured LA owned the rights to the data. I could be wrong, though.

    They think they're Jedi or something? Certainly hold all their negative traits.

    Not sure if this is the right place for it but I was thinking about the story...here's how I see it. When the Sith Lords came out there was promotional material where the Exile was portrayed as being similar to Galen Malek.

    [image=http://my-blackberry.net/wallpapers/18/m/Star_Wars_-_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic_II_-_The_Sith_Lords.jpg]

    There was also another piece of art put out that paid tribute to the first game, I believe this is official.

    [image=http://lparchive.org/LetsPlay/KOTOR%202/intro/img-1.jpg]

    Of course, several Star Wars writers had made the Exile female and that is what she officially is. Typically beyond that things are meant to be ambiguious but then they made up how she officially looks.

    And to make matters even more interesting Brianna was officially with the Exile, normally she gets Mical instead.

    As I understand it Lucasarts are rather posessive of their material. Perhaps The Sith Lords fanom had reached the point where they had stepped in to tell the story they want to tell, and they are so determined to uphold their vision that they block Bioware and Obsidian from fixing the game.

    I think its because they consider themselves superior to the Jedi Academy and Jedi Outcast modders. Back in the day, people would keep stealing each other's models and mods.

    So Holowan decided to become elitist. If you even touch someone else's work, even without knowing it, their head ass hat Jonathon comes down like a hammer of doom, and outright bans the poor bugger.

    Cannot possibly see how they can consider themselves superior. What have they done to be so impressed with, aside from a couple of skins and reactivated content?
