KotOR question

Does anyone know what race Rulan Prolik was? He was the shapeshifter you could hunt down on Kashyyyk if you worked for Hulas in the Genohadran side-missions.

 

According to Hulas, "We don't know much about Rulan, except that he's some kind of shapeshifter. We don't even know if it's a natural ability or the result of some powerful alien technology."

 

Never met him. I couldn't access Dantooine after the Leviathan sequence, so my Genohad-whatever was halted. I started a night side playthrough last year and hope to see finish the quest, paused midgame. That was . . . a year ago.

 

The Leviathan thing shouldn't have halted your quest.

The Dantooine job is one of two you can do to enter the next set of missions. There is no need to do both the Manaan one and the Dantooine one, save to get more darkside points and rewards. Think it was made optional to avoid people getting stucked after the Leviathan.

IIRC, it goes like this:

- First two missions: Republic Embassy on Manaan, Matale State on Dantooine. Do one or both, and talk to the Genoharadan to get the next set of missions.

- Three missions that have to be done: Tattoine Desert, Manaan Docks & Kashyyyk Shadowlands.

 

Hulas did say that. I was just wondering if anyone here had any educated guesses as to what species of shapeshifter he was.

 

I assumed he was a Shi'ido. They're the most secretive and powerful shapeshifters out there. Much more versitale than Clawdites.

 

Perhaps a Stenness Shifter or whatever they're called? Seems to be a species that would be keeping with the time period of KotOR.
