Well ive completed KOTOR 2 and I was left bemused to say the least, I know I must have gone the freakiest way through the game possible but still what the hay was going on can someone answer some questions for me 1) the death of so many jedi on malakor 5 created an echo in the force (a huge release of force power) that empowered sith like niholous they fed on the echo but the initial echo was so powerful that niholous hungered to feel it again so he went around the galaxy stripping jedi of the force and destroying planets (creating more echos) to feed his hunger, .is that right? 2) How did those droids end up on top of the academy on telos? 3) How did kiera regain her force powers & why was she allowed to live? 4) Were was master vandar? 5) Was the exile basically a force leach?
1) basicly 2) Guessing they used a ship, which flew off with the others. 3) the Jedi dont kill prisoners, so they just stripped her Force and hoped for the best. Unfortunately she regained the Force 4) Vandar died on Katarr, one presumes, unless he's in hiding still 5) basicly, but more of a Force Black Hole, draining life into the Force, like Nihilus.
3) the Jedi dont kill prisoners, so they just stripped her Force and hoped for the best. Unfortunately she regained the Force Didn't Nihilus and Sion strip her of the Force? Either way, it still doesn't explain how she got it back. I surmise that it was a result of her Force bond with the exile, and as the exile slowly regained the Force, so did she. Of course, I could be misremembering facts that would disprove that. But anyway: how did that bond first come into existence, and how did it cease to be before the exile killed Traya? 4) Vandar died on Katarr, one presumes, unless he's in hiding still I'm pretty sure the game confirmed that Nihilus killed him. I think Vandar, Zhar, and Dorak were all on Katarr.
1) the death of so many jedi on malakor 5 created an echo in the force (a huge release of force power) that empowered sith like niholous they fed on the echo but the initial echo was so powerful that niholous hungered to feel it again so he went around the galaxy stripping jedi of the force and destroying planets (creating more echos) to feed his hunger, .is that right? I suspect that Nihilus was in fact the Exile. Or rather, an echo of the Exile. When Nihilus tried to drain the Exile, they completely split into two seperate beings and the Exile regained the last of his/her missing strength.
Yeah, a lot of KOTOR 2 confused me. Especially the ending (I had to replay the end cutscene and read its title before I realized it was the DS ending). I had a few questions as well. 1. How do you get the Ebon Hawk? 2. Where are those HK-50s coming from? 3. How did Kreia and Handmaiden get to Telos without a ship? 4. How are you suppoused to get off Malachor? 5. What was the point of Tobin/Hanharr? 6. What was G0-T0 doing with the Remote? 7. How do you access the tomb in the cave? 8. How do you get prestige classes? Yeah, a lot of questions
1. How do you get the Ebon Hawk? The game starts off with the Hawk drifting in the Peragus asteroid field after the Sith attacked the Harbinger in their hunt for the exile. If I remember correctly, Kreia found it when she was trying to ascertain what had happened to Revan. 2. Where are those HK-50s coming from? A droid factory on . . . Telos, I believe? Or maybe it had its own planet. I don't remember. But, yeah, it was cut from the game. 4. How are you suppoused to get off Malachor? On the Ebon Hawk, if you played light side. Dark side, you just stay there to corrupt those who will inevitably come. 5. What was the point of Tobin/Hanharr? Kreia used Tobin as a pawn to draw Nihilus out of hiding by making him believe there were Jedi on Telos. Hanharr was supposed to kill Mira. 6. What was G0-T0 doing with the Remote? Tampering with its programming so he could prevent it from activating the mass shadow generator on Malachor.
7. How do you access the tomb in the cave? 8. How do you get prestige classes? You have to be really good or really bad. I never had a problem getting a prestige class or getting into the cave when I played a good character, but when I tried to be evil I waited too long to go evil (I wanted Mira in my party), and so it took me quite some time to get into the tomb and to become a Sith.
In relation to the Ebon Hawk, wasnt the ship damaged already when the Harbinger took it on board? Was it hit by Sion chasing Kreia? OR did random Sith attack it. I'm guessing that Revan gave Kreia his droids and Ebon Hawk.
Mira was ok. Handmaiden was better. But Hanharr was cool. There's nothing like an angry Wookiee carving up your enemies. Besides, he's the only character with 400+ vitality points.
From what I remember, Kreia at the end has vitality into the 900s. Mandy also has a crudload of health, especially with his Stamina implant activated. And if we're taking LS as canon (which we should!), Mira has beaten Hanharr in 1-on-1...twice.
It does in Kyle's case. Jaden didn't really beat him in a fight - just drove him off long enough to detonate the fuel caches and escape. Besides, on Nar Shaddaa the odds were all stacked in Hanharr's favour and he still lost to Mira.
IIRC, when I beat Kreia and asked her about the future she said something about Mira's "true father." So my question is, what Sith or Jedi was spreading wild oats back then?
I know we tend to talk about more than just literature in here, especially since it's the only place, from the sounds of things, where we can talk about the EU side of things. But I have a question. Looking over this thread it seems like folks are largely just talking about game mechanics, so how does this thread belong here? Not that I have a problem with it, it just doesn't seem like there is much EU material that would cause headaches for folks who want to get away from just talking the game by itself.
It's a question about confusing aspects of KotOR 2 - it belongs here alright. Although it could go in Games it probably wouldn't receive as productive a response. For example, the other day a user posted two identical threads, "What species is Desann?" in both Lit and Games. Whereas in Lit we answered him immediatley with "Chistori", in Games they gave answers like "Barney the Dinosaur" and stuff.
I think that KOTOR II would have worked a lot different if it was 20 years after the Mandelorian wars instead of 10. That way, Handmaiden could have been born during the wars, and the main character could turn out to be Mira's father, which would have been an interesting developement...
In the words of the Exile: "I'm not that Old!" A lot was cut from the game. So we do have a lot of glaring plotholes and the like.
It's not the quantity if health points that counts; it's how fast blows will minus them at a time. Like that idiocy Baldur's Gate 2 I've stopped playing, you millions of xp. You can 1000 at a time, like KOTOR, or, 27,400 for something as BG2 did.
