Kyle Katarn question

Are Kyle and Jan Ors married as of Legacy of the Force?

If so, where was she when he was dying in Fury?

 

I think Jan wants Kyle to retire and not go out into the field anymore. Be at home to help raise the kids, rather than go out and not return home, leaving any possible kids fatherless.

 

I'va always wondered what happened to Jan. SHe was last seen in Jedi Outcast, then nothing, yet Kyle Katarn comes back. But yeah, Jan and Kyle need to get married.

 

Actually, Kyle and Jan made their last onscreen appearance together in Equals and Opposites, set during the Vong War. This is also the most recent source regarding their 'marriage plans'.

So, Kyle isn't dead, and we don't know about family plans. But I think there's so little established about him that at the time of LOTF he could already have three children with Jan, who had already divorced him once but got together with him again. If their continued relationship wasn't already canon, they could very possibly have had an Indy/Marion like relationship. Wouldn't that be fun - A Mutt type character getting Kyle's help for some mission...

Anyway, as long as there's no new game, I doubt that we'll get more than cameos and character guide entries. And with TFU a hit, there's no need for them to reactivate the Jedi Knight series. The core audience wouldn't remember it, anyway. The best hope for a marriage would be a throwaway line in an Allston or Denning novel. "At the other side of the room stood Kam, Kyp, Kyle and Kyle's wife, Intelligence Operative Jan Ors."

 

Yeah, as of Equals and Opposites, they were together but Jan didn't want to get married. No indication of kids. What's happened since is anyone's guess.
