lando?

When did lando get married and who is she? I would really like to know.

 

Lando married Tendra Rissant, whom he met during the Corellian Trilogy. SBS has the first mention of their marriage.

 

Union mentions that Lando is a married man, and I am fairly certain Vision of the Future does as well. The rest is correct though. Question answered, thread closed.

 

I thought Onslaught mentioned that little factoid, and maybe even VP.

 

Balance Point talks about it; the Jade Shadow was a gift from Lanod and Tendra, we're told.

I thought it was a gift from Luke to replace the Jade Sabre?

As for Tendra and Lando- I was actually kind of shocked when I read it in the NJO, so I think it must have been mentioned in something other than a novel source between VotF and NJO.

 

The Jade Shadow was definitely a Tendra/Lando gift for Mara. What I want to know is where is Leia's Alderaan?

 

Alderaan - Probably buried beneath Coruscant, if not destroyed.

The Jade Shadow was built by Luke and given to Mara. The confusion arises because Tendra thought of the name Jade Shadow, because of its reflective plating

 

IIRC, Kast, the Jade SABER was constructed by Luke; that was wrecked in Onslaught. The Jade SHADOW makes its debut in BP, and I'm fairly certain (97%) that it was found by Lando and Tendra, and acquired because it was just right for storing an X-wing in the docking bay. I *will* check...

Jade Sabre
this custom-modifief shuttle was built by Luke Skywalker and given to his wife, Mara Jade, as a gift shortly after they were married. It had a shape like a fish-head, with swept-back wings and flared side pods protecting its ion drives. Mara believed that Luke had the ship constructed to thank her for sacrificing the Jade's Fire on Nirauan. Mara and Anakin Solo flew the ship to Dantooine, after the initial battle of the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, so that Mara could get some rest. Unfortunately for all, the Vong were already on Dantooine, and they destroyed the Jade Sabre before Anakin and Mara could recover it.

Jade Shadow
this was the luxury yacht purchased by Lando Calrissian and presented to Mara Jade Skywalker as a gift. The ship had a number of significant modifications, including retractable laser cannons, camouflaged torpedo launchers, and enhanced shielding systems obtained by Talon Karrde. The name Jade Shadow was coined by Tendra Risant, and denoted the ship's nonreflective gray hull. Lando had picked out the ship because of its aft cargo bay, which was wide enough to accommodate Luke Skywalker's X-Wing fighter.

 

J_K_DART, thank's for pointing that out. I was just about to post that Luke built the Jade's Saber as a wedding gift to replace the Jade's Fire.

 

Jeez. Why bother giving mara a ship. You KNOW she's going to lose it.
