    WHAT!?

    (censored) !

You have to be kidding me. There is no way John & Jan can possibly tie up all the plots running in 4 issues - sure they're good, but they're not THAT good.

There's got to be more to this than is apparent.

Hmm...wasn't there a thread that Jon started a while back that had something to do with Legacy ending after 50 issues? Anyway, bollocks, this stinks.

Final issue!?! Me no like, bad medicine. :(

Unless...John'n'Jan have a new SW series continuing after this. If that's the case then it won't be so bad. Is that it? [face_praying]

i seriously hope that's the case. perhaps one of the projects that Randy Stradley mentioned a couple of weeks back at Wondercon, but couldn't elaborate, is a continuation of Legacy. Despite the awesomeness of KOTOR, Legacy was always my favorite.

A continuation would be my guess. Something like this:

John & Jan tie off their run with #50. DHC then launch Legacy vol 2 or a differently titled sequel - they've done it before ie. Empire/Rebellion, Republic/Dark Times, with a new creative team who deal with the aftermath of the Fall of the One Sith....

On both KOTOR amd Legacy we have had 2 5-year runs! That is extremely unusual, especially in today's comic market. At the same time it's natural for writers to want to move on and finish a story, or rather the one they were telling.

I just feel there is too much interest in the wide and varied cast of Legacy, who we've barely got to know that well due to the scale of the story, so much so that DHC would be foolish to end it completely.

    Something like...

    Aftermath

Or equally catchy. I wonder if we'll have a leap forward in time... that could be interesting.

It has been the BEST Star Wars EU series among either books and comics! It can't be true! :(

    The end? :_|

Legacy is the most fantastic piece of the Expanded Universe that I have ever known. I sincerely hope that this is not the end of stories set 137 ABY! [face_praying]

However, that is one AMAZING cover. I love the image of Cade Skywalker, lightsaber in hand, rallying a massive armada of Galactic Alliance, Fel Imperial, and Jedi starships all arrayed for battle! :D

    United against the Sith!

This is slightly disappointing. Legacy was getting better since the last few issues and now we have only until July....strange.
One could look at this as ending with Cade re-assuming the Legacy he had long since denied. Thus the Legacy theme is over.

But if this is the case, what next for Cade, Blue, the GA, the Fel Empire, and the Sith?
What will John and Jan do next with this era of SW?

And Nick's right - it is indeed a bad-ass cover.

Ha-Ha! I was right when I said I thought it was ending soon!! Too many hints in the recent solicitations.

That being said, I'm not sad because I second what was said on Wondercon when Randy announced they had something like 7 or so projects that were under wraps. Clearly, with their biggest seller and a fan favorite, we are moving into spin-off teritory.

That remains unconfirmed, what we have now is theories only - plausible and well-thought out ones but still only theory.

This move isn't without a certain logic. Legacy will be 10 volumes of TPB, spinning off further stories under new titles resets the counter which in turn increases the chance of acquiring jump-on readers.
