I bought "I, Jedi" last week, and just finished reading it today. I was kind of disappointed that the villian Leonia Tavira got away at the end. Is there another novel with her that shows her defeat?

    Not yet, but hopefully.....

C'mon Mike Stackpole, write a follow up book!
And Please, please, please make it first-person again!

True, but in those you never see her get whats comin

You only see her rise to power shown in very very odd disjointed bits and pieces.

    Comic apperances:
    1. Imp Moff
    2. Pirate girl
    3. Some possition in the Empire (has Stormys and a spiffy uniform)
    Book apperance:
    4. Pirate again
Her life story was only really told in I, Jedi, because Stackpole likes meshing his comics and books, and wanted to tie up loose ends, yet she was left as one...odd

Yes Leonia should appear in the NJO sometime. I've said it before and I'll say it again.

    Indeed...

    LOL

Yes and if not for that fact that she turned out to be much like a preying mantis, the original Moff Tavira would have died a very happy man.

Sorry for dredging this up but I was scouting through old posts of mine, and felt a response was due.

I've read I, Jedi too, a "sequel" might be a good idea but I would hate it if Corran Horn beats Luke again. [face_plain]

Anyway, this is off-topic. Leonia Tavira eh... I don't think I'm that knowledgeable when it come to the EU, I read and I forget ;) but I don't remember seing her anywhere else. I didn't like her that much, there are better villains in other books. Of course it would be nice to have a proper closure to this character.

She appeared in about 3 of the RS comic arcs. And I for one would love to see her get hers.

There was something really wrong with Grand Moff Tharil Tavira. His wife was sixteen by the time he died. She wasn't even legal. That's not just gross. That's über-gross.

Who says that the GFFA has the same "legal" laws as the USA does?

...and is that supposed to make it any less gross?

Just because it may potentially have been legal for old man Tavira to get into her regulation jodhpurs when she was sixteen, doesn't mean it isn't really gross.

Wasn't daala, tarkins lover at 15 or some other young age, or was it that other boyfriend of hers at those more tender ages?

So we've established that sexual attraction to underaged girls just out of puberty is possibly a symptom of Grand Moff's Disease. Good to know.

I read I, Jedi before I finished the comics so once Tavira was brought up in the book I was wondering who she was. but it would still be nice if they would tie up what happened to her.

What if they put her up against the Vong? That might be interesting.

The only complementary thing I can say about Leonia Tavira is that she had good taste in men - Corran Horn. hehe ;)

I dont think Imperial Moffs, officers,or officials really care one way or another about a young girls age, they are immoral people anyway so why would those types of people care about somebodys age?

    Princess_Liar....

I don't think you were quite paying attention, dear. Tavira was sixteen when her husband died, not when he married her. She was younger when they married.

    Barelly, she killed him quick.

Maybe moral standards are different in the GFFA.

Anyways, I'd like to see Leonia preying on Vong shipping, kinda like what Han did in EoV II.
