Hey, I am noobie to this site and have looked at places and found that this is the best place to post this. If not then please move it to the correct location.

Anybody here do lightsaber spinning whether you are noobie or pro? I am a noobie myself and got a Ultimate FX Obi Wan Kenobi, planning to get a Force FX down the road. Does anybody feel like lightsaber spinning is a workout on the wrist? Because it hurts, exercising-ly after spinning for awhile.

I flourish on occasion, but I practice with a kendo bokken. It's longer than my lightsaber, but it has the same weight, so I can swap between the two with little problem.

I mostly flourish with nunchucks, though. If I need to loosen my wrist, I start with my chucks. I have carpal tunnel, and flourishing was painful. My movements were really stiff and clumsy due to my bad wrist. After I started training with nunchucks, my carpal tunnel hasn't been as bad. I can flourish easier with my chucks and my bokken.

If you're having difficulties with your wrist, try some stretching exercises before flourishing. Also, practice with something lighter, as the lightsaber may be too heavy for you until you build up some strength in your wrists. I've flourished with sticks and mop handles.
