Ling-Ling into Battle Go!: Drawn Together Discussion

I like Toot,the Betty Boop-type girl. And Foxxy,she reminds me of the girls from Josie and the Pussycats.

 

I like this show. I thought it was funnier than SouthPark this week.

Xandir cracks me up.

 

I only say two episodes (this weeks and last weeks) and I love some of the show's gags. Like when Toot threw Princess Clara down stairs,they went into the M.C. Esher room,and one of my favorite lines of the series: "What happens in Bizarro World stays in Bizarro World!". There's also Princess Clara's "I don't think Father will ever let me have a black woman's child".

Although I must say,the whole vagina tentacle monster thing from last week's episode was just gross.

 

Captain Hero: "Women just want me to swoop in,fondle them and save them."

 

Thats hilarious!

 

Xandir does rule.

"I'm on a neverending quest to save my boyfriend!"

"You could cut the tension with...like a class 6 sword"

 

"Ling-Ling been here real long time!"

 

It's great, I just laugh the entire episode... Xandir trying to kill himself was hilarious...hate the pig, though...

 

i was sceptical at first, but i saw the first episode and loved it. my fav caracter is Ling Ling

Wow, the slaughter of the woodland creatures was fairly gruesome... lol

No kidding. I couldn't believe when the momma duck and the baby ducks get out of the pond ( all precious like) and then they all get killed by big mallets. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

I ended up laughing.

I also like the Star Wars references. Xandir looked pretty hot in the gold slave bikini!

 

I missed it the other night but I taped it so Ill catch it sometime over the weekend.

With that said, Im really liking this show, and apparently so are alot of other people, too. Drawn Together is bringing in HUGE ratings for Comedy Central, and the second episode was the second highest rated show on cable that week for the 18-49 male demographic the show targets. Its already been renewed for a 15 episode second season. And to think, Adam Corolla was convinced that the show wouldnt last beyond the first week because it was just so damn filthy.


So far the three episodes Ive seen have been great, although the 'Octopussoir' episode was friggin insane. I also loved the quick homages to SW and 24.


Oh, and Ling Ling is my favorite character, and Spanky may be the most offensive cartoon character since Eric Cartman.

 

I was skeptical at first, but I watched the first episode and laughed my arse off. They are all great characters for their own reasons, but I think Spanky just might be my favorite. I'm seriously surprised by some of the stuff the show gets a way with though. Like the beginning of the "Food Battle" episode where the SpongeBob-like character interrupts Spanky on the computer. OMG I almost died laughing.

 

Yea, but I think the murders of Clara's woodland friends may have been worse.

But what's even worse than both of those things is when Toots pushed Clara down the flights of stairs to try to abort her 'pregnancy' on the Octopussoir episode.

 

yeah, that was pretty bad too. I honestly think that "shock-value" humor is some of the funniest stuff out there.

 

I keep missing it. What times is it on again?

 

Wednesdays at 10:30pm, then its repeated the following night and throughout the weekend.


Oh, and FYI, Im pretty sure theyre repeating the series premiere this Wednesday. Check it out if you can !
