I'm not one to complain about CGI, but the Yogi and Boo-Boo in that trailer.....can you say Uncanny Valley?

I know you could.

 

Somehow I liked the idea of Dan Ackroyd as Yogi.

And 'uncanny valley' on 3d cartoon based bears? No.

And I thought the live-action movie of Fairly OddParents with a 23-year old Timmy Turner played by Drake Bell sounded bad...

 

Great Caesar's Ghost! That looks just plain awful.
Though it still looks better than Bayformers,so it's only mildly feculent.

 

Movies that have been based off old cartoon shows have thus far sucked. All crap for the most part..

George of the Jungle=crap
Dudley do right=crap
alvin and the chimpmunks=crap(cartoos movie was better)
rocky and bullwinkle=crap
Josey and the Pussycats=crap
Scooby Doo=Crap

and now Yogi Bear adds to the list. Cheap money makers that do a dishonor to the originals. Trailer does make me want new episodes of the cartoon though.

Jetsons will be next I'm sure. Maybe even "Peabody's Improbable History."

Though I'll admit that Mr. Peabody kicked ass.

 

Scooby-Doo was awesome....it was corny, cheesy, and cheap....and corny....it was awesome.
Stupidly funny. So don?t even beat on Scooby.
Though it would have been better if WB and Tim Burton were in control.

 

With some teenybopper chick like Miley Cyrus as Judy Jetson.

Why not,then all of Jay Ward's animated legacy will then be immortalized as live-action films, except for maybe Fractured Fairy Tales and Aesop and Son.

 

If they do Freakazoid correctly, I'll go see it.

Animaniacs: Don't touch this. Don't even think about it. I want it to come back, but please no real live movie.

 

They need to stop making these movies and just start making new episodes of these classic cartoons. For kids today it would be something new without them realising it's actually old. While for us it would be a nostalgia fix.

I've dreamed for a long time of what I like to call Nostalgia Saturdays. Where all the great 80's and early 90's cartoons like:He-man, GI JOE, TRANSFORMERS, TNMT, Real Ghostbusters, and so on would get one great last season to finally end and era. Something Adults could enjoy and kids could see what they missed. Having some of these classics thrown in would have been great too.

Kids today have some of the crappiest cartoons I've ever seen. Sad, seeing as we god a lot of great stuff.

Justin Freakin Timberlake. Stunt casting at its finest...they just warped his voice.

That is BULLSPIT and I wont waste my money even renting this piece of ****. There are so many great voice actors out there.....Innes can do it spot on, I'm sure Rob Paulsen could do it, maybe possibly even Corey Burton.

But JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it, but Scooby Doo I felt did a pretty good job of catching the Scooby Doo essence. Yeah, they're some bits with 'magic' in it, but on the whole it felt just like a longer Scooby Doo and this is from my not expecting to like it at all.

 

well from the trailer it looks like everything that i remember from yogi bear cartoons. i might wait till it comes to video, but i would give it a try

I saw the trailer when I caught the recent Potter film...it looked like utter poodoo..
