I rented both a few weeks ago. Great movies. It shows you that even with limited budgets and technology focusing on a story can really make a movie shine.

If you havent seen Westworld or Logans Run go for it.

and I do plan on seeing Soylent Green.

And yes I know the ending.

I have seen both Logan's Run and West World, both decent if you have nothing else to do/watch.

I saw Logan's Run a long time ago and don't remember it much. Westworld was okay. Soylent Green was quite good, and I didn't know the ending. The Omega Man is another good 70's Charlton Heston sci-fi effort. Some other good ones. . . The Andromeda Strain, Silent Running, Dark Star (John Carpenter's sci-fi comedy), The Man Who Fell to Earth, and one of my childhood favorites, Disney's The Black Hole.

I rented Logan's Run on the sole basis of its mention on Family Guy. It was okay, but it felt like I had seen the movie before.

Look for the original "Rollerball", too. Not only a good movie with a still-potent message, but you'll never think of Bach's Tocotta in D Minor the same way ever again.
