On the 1st season of this series, Tracy Scoggins portrayed a character named Catherine "Cat" Grant. After the 1st season, however, Cat is neither seen nor spoken of again, so my question is why did Tracy Scoggins leave "Lois and Clark?"

They thought she was hitting the wrong demographic. She was too "adult". They tried to loose the romance angle and play up the action. They wanted something more family oriented in the time slot and the network thought she was too "racy".

Catherine Grant was a regular fixture in the Superman books from 1986 through 1999. After that she appeared occassionaly, mainly in relation to the President Luthor arc. She faded out as that story drew to a close. While not quite as racy, the version played by Scoggins was fairly close in many respects. Though not enough of her more mature side was shown.

Let me list them as they are on the box:

    Restrospective documentary
    From Rivals to Romance
The Making of Lois and Clark

    Behind the scenes Featurette:
Taking Flight: The Visual Effects of Lois and Clark

Commentary on the Pilot by Dean Cain, Executive Producer Deborah Joy LeVine, and Director Richard Butler

    Original Pilot Presentation
    introduced by Deborah Joy LeVine

Interviews with Dean Cain and Teri Hater

I haven't seen most of these extras but I saw the pilot presentation and I thought that was cool, though a bit weird without sound.:)

Pick it up. It'll be well worth your money.

Only a couple of times in a flashback sense. And I don't think any of the comic villians other Luther were involved in the show. It was slightly different from the movies and comics.
