Rogue One Loose Speculation? Is Benthic "Two Tubes" manipulating Saw Gerrera?

I understand that this is merely loose speculation. However, ever since I saw the R1 a second time in December 2016, I've wondered why Tubes would distort information when he gave it to Saw Gerrera. At the time, I figured that Saw had lost his mind, and Tubes was taking advantage of that to keep his place as what I speculate to be second-in-command of the Partisans. Now that I've seen Saw willingly ingesting rhydo in Andor, I can understand why his regular soldiers don't revolt. But what about those who see him on the daily?

After all, Bodhi had to clarify that he had willingly given Tubes the info on Galen Erso. But Tubes lied and said that he had found it on Bodhi. It's like Tubes was utilizing Saw's paranoia and brain damage to fuel his own aims. I think Tubes is a sadist who came to enjoy killing civilians. He wanted Saw to persist in this, and so I believe that he manipulated this brain-damaged leader.

 

Lies! Deceptions! This Two Tubes slander will not stand.

 

In Andor... I liked when Luthen messed with both Saw and Tubes by telling Saw that Tubes was a spy for him inside Saw's organization.

"He's my guy. Go ahead, tell him! He deserves to know."
