I bought the first book in the Black Fleet Crisis series a long time ago. I read it, but found it so bad I didn`t mind buying the two others. Can anyone here, that has read the whole series, tell me what happens with Luke`s mommy-search? Doesn`t these books totally violate the story we have on Padmè in the Prequels?

In the end, the character who told Luke about his mom admits that she lied to him to get him to help her find her own family. She apologizes and Luke, for some reason, takes it pretty well. Not a great series IMO.

Are there no goodies? And are there no violation of the facts we get on Padmè in the Prequels?

Ummm... no. The lie told to Luke was clearly revealed to be as such.

Luke's real mom was never referred to in that series. It was an "in-universe" ploy by someone who didn't trust Luke's judgement and felt they had to entice him into helping.

There was no misrepresentation of that fact, as it was entirely revealed in the third novel.

Most of the things I heard about these books say they are boring, but I plan on reading them on my own and draw my own opinion.

The BFC breaks down into three plotlines, of varying quality:

The "A Plot": Revolves around the Yevethan Crisis, and has what is considered to be some of the best written space battles of the EU, as well as (IMO, at least) acting as a great political thriller. Overall, this plot is considered to be very good,

The "B Plot": Revolves around Lando, Lobot and the Droids and their exploration of the Vagabond. Some people don't like this plot, but many people do- it's a nice throwback to the style of the three Lando Calrissian Adventures books, and also has an interesting Rendezvous With Rama-like quality to it.

The "C Plot": Revolves around Luke, Akanah and their search for Luke's "mother", which ends up beinga wild goose chase. This is more or less heavily disliked, and, unfortunately, is why this trilogy is so often mal-aligned in disscussions.

    question
in the end of book 3, one of the fallanassi said to luke that his sister is welcome to join them when she's ready.
    what did that mean?
unless their mother was actually a member of the circle, why would leia get the offer

Remember when Akanah was complaining that Luke's heavy use of the Force didn't let him access the Current easily? Leia didn't have that problem, so she was more susceptible to feeling the Current, which is why she got the invite.
