Luke Skywalker (ROTJ) boots????

I am goign to be dressing up as Luke Skywalker from Return of the Jedi for C3 , my problem is I am tryinf to find boots exactly like the ones Mark was wearing during the filming.

Does anybody know what type of boots those were and if so, where I can pick up a pair??

If worse comes to worse and I can't find them, do you think it would still be alright to wear any other sort of Black boots that I can find that will go well with the outfit, while still possessng a Jedi feel to it. My thing is I don't want to get away from the characters costume at all unless I need to. Any help in finding those boots from ROTJ would help out a lot Any info would help, or possibly other boots that you feel would go well with the ALL black outfit Luke wore.

 

Obi Wan's Jedi Academy has some info on the Luke ROTJ Costume - although the info is for the Tatooine outfit - I think the boots are the same but I could be wrong

He's wearing english riding boots. They're expensive unless you get the synthetic leather ones. Try searching for a previous thread next time...

Actually aren't they German officer boots?

 

Officer boots and riding boots are one in the same. Because the officers wore them in parades on horseback. But english boots are more common. Also, when you look up german boots, you usually find Jack Boots. Jack boots aren't as tall and have a different look to them. I've got a pair of both, and I think the english riding boots look so much better.

Definitely get yourself a pair of riding boots...but not the ultra shiny ones with the red around the top which I'm not sure what they're used for maybe hunting (e.g. fox-hunting). Get a pair of simple ones that are used for people who do normal riding (not specialist!) Only thing is with riding boots is that sometimes they can be a bit pricy and second-hand pairs can be badly scuffed on the insides from wear. Hope that helps!
