Mace Windu at a desk.

Hey, I was looking at the attack of the clones Image Attack pictures when I stumbled onto a pic of Mace Windu sitting behind a desk.

Jedi Desk Job

Does anybody remember seeing this in the movie, or even reading it in the the script or novelization? I have no idea where it came from. Too bad they never had it though. I would have liked to see a Jedi Council Member do paperwork; it would prove that they actually do stuff besides sit around and state the blindingly obvious to people that come to them for guidence.

they just sit and meditate and occasionally go out to try and kill folks.

So Mace works behind a desk. He's probably frustrated. No wonder he has such a good time cutting Jango to bits.

 

he was probably sending in his tax returns. Jedi have to file too you know....

 

Mace only goes to the desk when he is working on his novel.

He gets a pile of fresh clean yellow paper, he sharpens his fifty perfect pencils. Then he sits there and tries to come up with his first sentence. Then there is a council meeting or battle or border dispute and he is called away from his desk.

Well I never remember Mace at a desk within the AOTC novel or Shatterpoint novel.

I think Shatterpoint makes the point that Mace is a lot more than just a guy sitting in the council. He goes on a lot of missions.

I hope he enjoyed his time at the desk, once those clone wars break out he won't have much peace and quiet.

To answer the question seriously:


The scene with Mace at his desk was cut from the film. It was originally going to be where Mace-and Yoda, presumbly-were when they got the call from Obi Wan about the clones on Kamino.

 

I think it would have been AWESOME to see Mace at a desk. He should have an In Box, and an Out Box.

And it also would have been funny for his phone to ring, and he pick it up and be like "Yeah. Yes. Uh-huh. Yes. I know. Yes, uh-huh. No problem, got it. Bye."

 

I didn't even know the Jedi had offices. I figured the Council Members did all thier work and decision making and stuff in the Council Chambers. That's where they get Obi-Wan's call in the movie, and that's where they are most of the time.

LOL! Yeah. But what would go in the In Box and the Out Box? Memos from the Senate? Missions for the Jedi?

Plus, it's so dark in his office! He needs to get a lamp or something; he'll ruin his eyes.
