I am rushing out on Tuesday and buying my copy for PS2.

I wasn't going to originally buy it, but then as I was watching the draft, I saw the commercials.

Have been drooling and anxiously waiting ever since.

It's hard for me to say at this point if I am or am not going to be buying it. It really depends on how the promised upgrades to the NFL2K series' franchise mode turn out. I've always preferred the 2K series' gameplay more than Madden's, but EA always wins the Franchise and Create-A-Team options, HANDS DOWN. Hopefully this year VC/Sega catches up.

I still play Madden 2002, I only update my Madden series every 2 years because there are more extra features.

No, I'm not even going to buy it. NFL2K3 is going to be the football game to own. It's about time that we had a quality developer who is capable of going toe to toe with EA's dominace over the sports category. Anyone who is even thinking of buying Madden has seriously got to check out NFL2k and it's franchise mode as well as all the extras.

On a side note what is up with this poll. How do you do make a poll with questions? It makes no sense. For example: Are you going to buy it at all? This can be answered with a yes or a no. In fact everything on your poll could be answered with a yes or no. This is more of a questioner then a poll. Strike my answer from the record, I will play no part in this mockery of the polling system. [face_plain]

I have Madden 2002, why get 2003? Heck if you have 2001 why get 2003? It looks and plays exactly the same.

I was going to get it for XBox like NCAA Football as the HardDrive is a godsent for sports seasons. The fact that I can play it online on my PS2 changed that though process. I'll let you guys know my handle if you care to challenge me.

Anyone else having trouble finding this in stores today? A buddy of mine said he went to Best Buy and they didn't have it or know when it was coming in (though he did say the guys working looked like they were lucky to walk out of the house fully dressed). Their web site also now has a date of Thursday!

So, who's playing already? And where did you get it?

Every website is saying that Sega's NFL 2K3 is better. I would wait for that instead.

The NFL2K Franchise isn't well made in my opinion. The graphics are very sub-par compared with the Madden franchise and another thing that plagues the 2K games are the difficulty levels. You can put it on medium and destroy the computer 106-12, but when you put it on hard, the computer is impossible to beat.

I got it yesterday, and I like it a lot.

The biggest adjustment, IMO, is the departure of Pat Summerall. Now we have to listen to that robotic Al Micheals. Oh well.

Played it yesterday after getting it and I have to say that 2003 is awesome. The slickest interface and presentation that I have seen and the gameplay is improved from 2002 (had that one as well).

The main reason for me getting Madden was the ability to import the draft class from NCAA 2003, which is great. Nothing like recruiting a player in college, watching him lead your team to the national championship and then drafting him in the NFL and having him turn into your next superstar.

I've been loyal to the Madden game since 1995. I didn't get the 2002 version when I heard so many complaints about it. But I got the 2003 version and absolutely love it! One of my favorite parts of the game is the classic uniforms. The mini-camps are also very cool and there's a small but nice behind-the-scenes piece. I'll waste many hours and lose much sleep playing this one!

I not happy they took the season mode out. I don't have time to play franchise. Excuse me while I go write EASports a nasty E-mail.

It seems to be the same game as 2002, but with a few refinements thrown in. The mini-camp is entertaining...but after you complete them all...what next?

Create a team was expanded a little with more generic logos to choose from. As soon as I get online...lookout for the

    DEATH VALLEY REAPERS

    You have been warned

Ummm...play franchise mode for 1 year and what you have is a season. Then don't continue on. Not a very difficult concept.

Right now, I'm leaning towards NFL 2K3, just because I have Madden 2002. There doesn't seem to be enough differentiation between 2002 and 2003 to get me to buy it; it seems more of just an update. NFL 2K3 has gotten excellent reviews so far, so I'd rather have two somewhat different (yet both good in their own right) games to choose from.

My question: those of you who have 2002 and have played 2003, is there enough of a difference (and a positive one at that) to warrant the purchase of 2003??

Believe me, I'm not destitute, but $50 would be much better spent on golf or beer or strippers or something than a game I won't need.

    :)

But the Adapter comes out next week

I still like Madden, although NFL fever is almost as good. The problem is NFL fever is online and Madden isn't. Choices, choices.

I have a question regarding both Madden 2003 and NFL 2K3. Can you create your own plays in both of these games? I know in Madden they added that feature, but did Sega put it in 2K3 yet?
