I won't be surprised this gets locked up since it is very distressing.

I woke up this morning, fiddled around, and listening to the radio. around 7:40 the traffic reporter was talking about a guy climbing the Williams Tower here in Houston. She was giggling, about his body suit( the radio personalities were joking that each floor now has a ballroom view), and talking about how he must be a professional climber. He had no harness, he got on the side where there would not be the sun in his eyes, the weather was warm. Well, about 5 minutes latter, it seemed he jumped from around the 30th floor. Of course the traffic reporter sobered up, and the DJs were telling her there was nothing she could have done.

When I first heard the initial report, I thought it would be a funny story, but it is sad how it ended.

The whole thing was stupid. It tied up traffic for hours. Forgive me if I'm not sympathetic, I call this "natural selection."

    kthxbye

Whether or not it was a suicide, or he just fell, he was after all climbing a building with no harness, so what do you expect! I watched the video and it looked like he just kind of gave up, not push, but just let go, like he was so tired, he couldnt go on. And suicide is not a very funny thing, give it a try sometime if you think its funny!

This is the first we're hearing about this, and we're right down the street from the Williams Tower. So, how many suicides is that now for the WT??

    I agree Samwise.

Suicide: Don't knock it till you've tried it.

When you choose to climb a building, you probably have an idea that it's a long way down. I would not recommend climbing a building.

I'm sure Bobby Trendy would agree; body suits are a crime against fashion. You reap what you sow.

According to News2Houston this morning, the kid was being treated already for an "undisclosed mental problem." So, in his mind, he might not have been comitting suicide... he just was going out for a climb!

Apparently they found some note talking about politics and Iraq next to his drivers liscense too.

    Cross off one more wacko...

He was probably a stunt man that got rejected for Spider-Man.

Took the news of CGI doubles pretty badly...

The guy didn't have a harness or suction cup or anything. Just a screwdriver or a pick. I can't believe he climbed 30 stories with just a pick.

That makes no sense whatsoever. It has to be the most bizarre suicide in the history of man.
