Su'cuy ner vode. For any of you out there interested in Mandalorian costuming using your own custom character, we have started a club just for people like you! We've been around for 6 months now and have 26 members currently in 3 countries (USA, Canada, UK) and are growing steadily. We have tutorials available for anyone on the web to access as well as a custom mandalorian Wiki that will be open to the general public. We are LFL approved which means our merchandise, logo, and club related items have been given the OK but LucasFilm Ltd. We would be happy to have anyone interested in Mandalorian costuming or Mandalorians in general to come visit us!

Wow, very extensive! I like the amount of information, as well as the general layout. Also excellent that you are LFL approved - how did you go about that? Good stuff!

Being "Approved" doesn't make us any kind of official LFL licensed entity (that would be awesome in itself.)

That means that LFL has given the OK on our logo and materials and allows us to use Star Wars(TM) materials as long as we abide by the rules they set fourth for us. This does mean though that we are part of the Lucasfilm Ltd archive just like the 501st, Rebel Legion, and Jedi Assembly. To get approved, all we had to do was email the appropriate people with an outline of who we were and what we do as well as send them a logo. We also had to send them 3 of our t-shirts. We presume it's for the archives as GL is known for keeping these sort of things.

I really appreciate the kind words. We are growing very rapidly as a club and are just at 30 costumed members. 30 doesn't sound like much, but when you see how many other people are creating costumes and in the process of joining up then we should have close to if not 100 members world-wide by next year easily.

We are a structured club. We have regions all over the US, Canada, UK, and now Iceland. Inside those regions we have local clans of 3 or more customs who do local events and charity work. For members not associated with a clan we still have regions who participate in larger scale events also such as conventions etc.

Anyhow, everyone is invited to come by and visit. We have quite a bit of material that we have gathered together from all over the net to help people with their own custom mandalorian costumes and maybe get an idea of what we are all about.

Ah, I see how that works now. That's still neat though that you'll be a part of the archives and such. All the best!

We currently have an art contest running to come up with the emblems for our regions.

It's open to anyone, but you have to sign up on the forums to enter. Winners recieve a free Mercs t-shirt or Hoodie as well as have their artwork immortalized as one of our regional emblems =D
