Maureen Stapleton passes away.

    You may best know her from her work in the Cocoon movies as the Grandmother to the little boy and the wife of Wilford Brimley's character. She passed away on the 13 of March from Chronic Pulmonary disease at the age of 81. She was also in Bye Bye Bidie, Passed Away, Johnny Dangerously and Plaza Suite.

    Some trivia about her...

    In 1981, she became the tenth performer to win the Triple Crown of acting. Oscar: Best Supporting Actress, Reds (1981), Tony: Best Supporting Actress-Play, 'The Rose Tattoo' (1951), and Emmy: Best Actress-Drama, Among the Paths to Eden (1967) (TV).
