Hey, this may seem silly. But, does anyone have any clue as to how I may create my own card for the CCG?

Take a card, remove the text and picture, then add your own. Simple.

Heh, Heh. I know playing with one's self is generally looked down upon* (I did NOT say that to start discussion folks) but try to play a simple game against yourself. Try to use as few of the glossary rules as possible, and gradually work yourself into it. When you come up to a situation your not sure of, ask us here on the boards. We're generally happy to help.

One thing I've tried wityh my 10 year old nephew is to play a game where we only use characters and sites, but ignore character's gametext and attrition. It's not terribly exciting, but it gives the flow for the very basics. Then we worked in weapons and starships (only permanent pilots) He now understands what it means to activate, deploy, control, lose force, drain, move and fire weapons. Soon he'll be ready to work in gametext and effects. It's all a building exersize.

I'm not saying your are 10, but if you don't know how to play, then this is a good start. We've all got to start somewhere. I started with premier, so I didn't have any real rules above or beyond the basic rule book. I used to do stupid things like to deploy pilots on starships with permanent pilots, and I even played suprise Assault and drew destiny for every one of the opponent's cards on the table. IF you want to know the very basics, here we go...

Your turn follows the following phases (I will only talk characters here, but starships work in a very similar way)...

    ACTIVATE:
You move cards, one but one, off the top of your reserve deck onto what is called your force pile. You move one card for each lightsaber icon that is facing you. These are on the sites on the table. The iconsw are Blue for the light side and red for the darkside.

    CONTROL:
When ever you have ability at a site, and your opponents does not, your opponent loses force for each og their lightsaber icons at that site.

    DEPLOY:
You may play cards to the sites. You will see two numbers on the bottom left of the card. The top one is the deploy value of that card. You place cards, one at a time, from the top of your force pile to the top of your "used" pile. The deploy value is how many cards you move for that particular character.

    BATTLE:
If both players have ability at a site, you may initiate battle. Add up each player's total power. The higher total wins the battle. The loser must lose force equal to the difference. IF your total ability is 4 or more, you can add one destiny (the number on the top right of cards) to your total.

    MOVE:
You may now pay one force per character to move them to a site next to the one where they are at.

DRAW: If there is any cards in your force pile, you may take as many as you wish into your hand. You then put your reserve deck on your used pile and say "May the force be with you". It's now the other player's turn.

Of course, it's more complicated than this, but here you've got the basics. I recommend you get a rulebook, which ar available in Premier starter boxes, Special Edition starter boxes and Death Star II preconstrructed decks. Hope that helps.

BTW Vaderbait, wher do you live? Maybe someone here can let you knopw where to find otgher players!
