Sherry??? That's an old ladies drink! I was on a cocktail of Bitter, Tequila, Vodka and JD....not all at the same time though. Never again.
classy stuey, classy mate! iu once chunderd out of a train after going to football, wheni disembarked at the other ened , my puke was splatterd down the side of the carriage! im proud of that i am!
at the risk of totally lowering the tone of the board and making this a puke thread; i threw up from the top deck of a boat once, but the sick didn't go in the sea it landed on the window of the deck below us
I was looking a the New Jedi Order books in WH Smiths yesterday... Do they come in a particular sequence or are they one off books that can be read in any order? I ended up buying 3 Chuck Palahniuk novels instead. No I have no energy today I'm absolutely knackered. @ Yosh... awwwwww poor baby... I have NO sympathy for you
lowering the tone? ) what tone? i once got arrested n when the chucking out time came, they asked me if id done any damage to the cell, i said "yup, ive chunderd all over it"! and another time i blew chunks all over this posh old birds fyr coat as she tried to get on the tube @ leicester square!
Chucking your guts up on fur coats is a plus point in my book Lowering the tone? That's what I do best but I'm behaving myself today
yes they do come in a sequence dark elf, start with Vector Prime by R.A. Salvator! can i have a kiss for pointing that out?
i've only read Vector Prime of the NJO, brought a little tear to this jaded fans eye I ended up buying 3 Chuck Palahniuk novels instead. i've been meaning to read some of his work, i spent about 30 minutes on amzon the other day stuggling to decided which one to buy and i ended up getting myself a shiny new copy of 1984 instead. what would you recommend to start off with elfiest of the dark queens?
i dont need to buy many SW books, my mate works in a library! very very handy! i badly want the original trilogy on DVD, are there any plans to release it on that format? coz its like i said,im waaaay too posh for VHS! i prefer me DVD n champagne etc! heres a quick joke, Q. what do u call a fly with no wings? A. a walk! hohoho
I hightly recommend Choke... it's a bit like Fight Club but for sexoholics... some really off the wall funny moments in it and a twist at the end which you don't see coming. Lullaby I would recommend as well! They are the only 2 I've read so far of his but I am halfway through Invisible Monsters and I have Survivor and Fight Club to read also! CHOKE: back cover blurb... Victore Mancini has devised a scam to pay for his mother's hospital care: pretend to be choking on a pice of food in a resteraunt and the person who 'saves' you will feel responsible for you for the rest of their lives. Multiply that by a couple of hundred times and you generate a healthy flow of cheques, week in, week out. Victor also works at a theme park with a motley group of losers, cruises sex addiction groups for action, and visits his mother, whos Alzheimer's now hides what may be the startling truth about his parentage. LULLABY:back cover blurb... Carl Streator is a reporter investigating Sudden Infant Death Syndrome for a soft-news feature. After responding to several calls with paramedics, he notices that all the dead babies were read the same poem from the same library book the night before they died. It's called a 'culling song' - an ancient African spell for euthanizing sick or old people. Researching it, he meets a woman who killed her own child with it accidentally. He himself killed his own wife and child with the same poem twenty years earlier. Together, the man and the woman must find and destroy all copies of this book, and try not to kill every ruse sonofabitch that gets in their way. @ B_M - anyone here will tell you I'm a bookaholic, I have more books than your local book store
cheers DQ, i was looking at lullaby but i'll probably get choke on your expert recommendation. i'd never heard of him until recently but i'm a huge fan of Fight Club (the film) and there was a link to buy the book on amazon but then i couldn't decide which of his books i wanted i'm reading loads recently. now i've finished school i've actually got the chance to read something decent that isn't a textbook. i've about 6 books in past week but i'm running out of money and books and my local library is crap
Well I was expertly convinced into watching Fight Club not so long ago by someone ordering me to watch it and I was bowled over... it's an AWESOME film and has become one of my favourites! Then he said he was reading Choke and that I would like it because it's about sexaholics (can't think what he mant by that ). So I went out and bought that AND Lullaby and read them both in about 5 days I loved them! Then I read Lost Souls by Poppy Z Brite and finished that last night then started reading Invisible Monsters by Palahniuk and I'm on Chapter 19 already! I've read 3/4 of the book in under a day You'll love Choke though, Denny (Victors sidekick) is just the funniest character in a disturbingly retarded way! Bless him
well i started re-reading 1984 this morning so i should finish that tomorrow and then i'll try and be motivated enough to get up off my arse and go into town to buy choke
DEQ: I have all of the NJO books but none of the others you've mentioned... You show me yours & I'll show you mine ...
Where do you want me to c'mon over to hmmmmm? Seriously if you want to know about books just let me know the time and the place
