Metallica - Star Wars Connection

I was listening to the radio the other day and One by Metallica came on. Towards the end of the song it struck me that this song could very well be thought of as Anakin's theme song form Ep III. I took the liberty of refineing some of the lyrics to make it a little closer to being Anakin's theme. As it turned out, I had to change very little.

Hey Party People,

OMG, I was just listening to Metallica S&M yesterday when I heard One and thought, "This would make a great Anakin/Darth transformation song!" Especailly if someone was doing a rock opera (don't laugh, I'am serious) of the Star Wars saga. Metallica would be a perfect source for the Sith related songs. BTW, great rewrite.

I think the song "Born Under a Bad Sign" aka the Sopranos theme song would be an excellent Anakin/Darth Vader song.

I don't have the lyrics handy but there are lines in it about being the Chosen One and "you're one in a million/you got that shotgun shine/born under a bad sign with a blue moon in your eye" (or similar.)

I heard somewhere that James Hetfield is a huge SW fan.

 

I alaways thought that Metallica's Master of Puppets song could be taken as a sort of theme song for the dark side and how it ruins your life or maybe just for the relationship between Darth Vader and Palpatine.

How bizarre, I only listened to ..And Justice For All and Master of Puppets for the first time in years last week and suddenly I find myself reading/discussing them in a Star Wars forum.
