Middle names in the Star Wars galaxy

Does anyone in the Star Wars galaxy have a middle name? I ask because I don't recall ever hearing one, but I could be wrong.

 

Well, Thrawn's full name was Mitth'raw'nuruodo and Thrawn was his "core name" and since it is in the middle of his full name it could be called a middle name in a very technical way.

 

Anakin Skywalker's middle name is Mortimer.

I took a quick look down the character list in 'New Essential Guide to Characters'. Most entries had only one or two names. Of those with 3, it was either due to a title ('General Maximilian Veers') or marriage ('Leia Organa Solo').

I have never ONCE in my life been able to read this name without cracking up or at least smiling. I just can't take it seriously and wonder if Zahn was just having us all on and it's really a gag name.

Thrawn's real name is just 'Thrawn' or 'Doug Thrawn'.

Anyways, I just checked in the NEGTC too. What about Ulic Qel-Droma? or Jar Jar Binks? Or Padme Naberrie Amidala? OR Garik "Face" Loran?

But we may not know any character's middle name because if you take a look at our society, from which GL and authors obviuosly base some GFFA things on, when someone is introduced, you hardly say their middle name. Maybe the characters do officially have middle names, but they haven't been written in any books.

Qel-Droma is a last name. Jar Jar is a first name. "Face" is a nickname.

According to NEGTC, 'Amidala' was the 'name of state' Padme took when she became Queen.

 

Samuel Tomas Gillepsie is the only one I can think of.

I imagine the Solo kids don't or we would have heard them at some point when they were still just little mischief makers.

 

I've always assumed they have middle names in Star Wars but we never hear them.

Currently, I think the majority of nicknames in the GFFA should be 'stupidity'.

"Hi, I'm Anakin Solo. 'Stupidity' is my middle name."

 

He's not stupid. Just too stubborn to go into a bloody healing trance.
