mini dv camera noises

    Just wondering if this is normal but my minidv camera makes a humming/buzzing noise whenever i record/play. It is a jvc model number:GR-DVL120U. it is a year old and i have a five year warranty so if i gotta take it back i will but any help would be appreciated

    yep thats normal, its because your internal Mic is recording the sound out side, and the sound of the mechanics working inside the camera

    Very normal. and Very disappointing normal. I have a jvc as well and they are relentless on having loussy noise pickup. As everyone says internal mic picks up internal mechanics.

    Unfortunately, I'd have to also say that the jvc's are abnormally loud. The mechanisms can be heard not only by the mic but by the camera operator.

    I for one, feel this should be a problem resolved by jvc. Can we get a flippin recall! damn it

    yeah a reacall or somethink like that would be great.

    anyways thanks for the info, i just wanted to know as i am taking it in for its annual cleaning and i wanted to konw if i should point it out to customer service.
    one more thing, do any of you knowif i can get an external mic fo my camera, i dont have an accessory thing on my camera, but is there a way i can do this withut using a karaoke machine?
