Mon Calamari names

Do Mon Cals have last names? Admiral Ackbar's daughter Jesmin was referred to as "Jesmin Ackbar" in Wraith Squadron, but she's the only one. Ackbar, Cilghal, and other MC characters are always referred to by their single name. So "Jesmin Ackbar" may have simply been a fluke... Jesmin adopting a human custom because she spent so much time among humans.

Does anyone have a definite answer to this?

P.S. Poor Jesmin...

 

I don't know but in the Jedi Apprentice books Obi-Wan's friend Bant has two names; Bant Eerin.

I think Ackbar's first name is Admiral, or he and Cilghal are like Madonna, and only need one name because they're so famous. And Ackbar went with his last name. Or something.

 

I think Jesmin was his niece and not his daughter.

In one book there is a Mon Calamari called Terpfen ... I think this was the name. I don't remember the name of the book, but it could've been in the Jedi Academy Trilogy.
