As far as I know, Mon Mothma had this wasting disease that basically took apart her cells and broke her body down. Surprisingly, there was no known medicine to save her. I think that even the Jedi could do nothing for her. Now this sounds a lot like Mara's disease. None could help her, the disease was immune to the Force, and it was a wasting disease. Do you think Mon Mothma was infected with the Coomb Spore disease by Nom Anor? Please state your opinion.
Mon Mothma's disease was caused by nano-machines that destroyed her body's cells one by one. It was an Imperial assination attempt. The nano-machines were removed one by one by the Jedi healer Cilghal. She was unable to successfully help Mara.
Ya, Ambassasdor Furgan of Carida slipped the poison into her drink. It was a molecular poison, like that guy said.
Hey, was that when Furgan splashed that stuff in her face at that big reception for him? That was in the Jedi Academy Trilogy, right? I'm sorry, but I can't find a copy of Champions of the Force, but I've read the first two books.
Yes, the splashing of the drink in Mon Mothma's face, which lead to her disease, was in the Jedi Academy Trilogy. Jedi Search to be exact. She was cured in Champions of the Force. And the nanotech used to create her disease was targeted directly to Mon Mothma's genetics, it couldn't have harmed anyone but her as no one else would have the same exact genetic make-up. Coomb Spores, on thew other hand, proved lethal to the majority of folks infected by them. And the Force did have some effect on them, especially when father, mother, and unborn child all lent their presence and use of the Force to a effort to get rid of them.
