*Most Overrated Movie Stars*

There are a lot of stars out there that I think are waaaay overrated by Hollywood. They obsess over them all the time but no one I know really cares that much about them.

My list of most overrated would include:

Cameron Diaz--Seems more ditzy than anything else. I saw a clip of her dancing stupidly in her underwear in a "Charlie's Angels" movie and have been unable to associate her with anything more sophisticated since.
Ashton Kutcher--To me he looks like one of those frat boys that scream "wooooo, woooooooo" after downing a whole keg of Budweiser. Just don't care for him.
Jessica Simpson--Thanks to Dukes of Hazzard she's in movies now. I don't understand why she and the overshadowed Nick are supposed to be so dang popular. Just watching her sing is a wierd experiance. The way she moves her head and exaggerates her mouth movements is just...overdone. Whatever!
Will Ferrell--He plays an huge elf and all the sudden he's one of the comedic greats, to the right of Bob Hope and the left of Groucho Marx. Okay, slight exaggeration there, but this guy gets far too much attention.
Julia Roberts--All the reporters have to do is mention her name and they get a big silly grin almost as wide as her own. She's never seemed--that--incredible to me...she's good but does she merit undying adoration?
Adam Sandler--He gets too much attention for movies that merit 1/2 a star. Seriously...

Honorable Mention
Even though he's basically a music star I have to add P.Diddy--I. Can't. Stand. That. Name. If that IS his name now, and not Puffy or Puff Daddy or Puff the Magic Rap Star or whatever the heck else. All he seems to be doing now is going to red carpet events with bling bling and that's it. I can't even remember his songs.

I'd say everyone with the title of 'Movie Star' is overrated.

 

I will defend Ferrel and Sandler to the end.

IMPO, SNL creates geniuses.....excluding Tim Meadows.

 

I find no genius in Horatio Sanz. All I see in him is a guy that sits around laughing at his buddies.

If I wanted that I would hang out with my friends and not pay $8 to go to the movies.

I'm not jealous of movie stars, dude. This is my most overrated list--I have favorites too.

 

I agree sans Sans, but Meadows is cool, he was really good in "Mean girls"

 

SNL hasn't produced anyone decent since Mike Myers, and even he's blah now. LOng gone are teh days of Belushi and Murray.

 

There's good reason Meadows was stuck on SNL for 42 years. (May have exagerated seniority a bit).

But I think he holds the title for longest running cast member.

 

I agree that the majority of those baring the appellation of "movie star" are overrated.

 

I have to say.. the worst EVER is Jennifer Lopez. I find her to be so annoying and have you ever heard an interview of her?

"You know.."
".. you know?"
"Blah blah, you know, .. blah.."

She says "You Know" five million times!

Blah.

I think Brad Pitt's a great actor. Meet Joe Black, Legends of the Fall, Fight Club, 12 Monkey's --- all excellent jobs.

Though not an actor I think Quentin Tarantino is WAY overrated. His movies are kind of stupid, but he gets like godly praise for them. And even though he only directed one scene in Sin City, his name was still mentioned on some posters. It's like what the hell man, no one cares.

I agree 100%, SNL is horrible in my opinion, it stopped being funny many, many years ago.

I was just wondering why you think his movies are stupid? I'm a fan of his so I'm just kind of wondering. Are they just not your type of movies or do you think the writings bad in them or is it becasue he has a HUGE MASSIVE chin thats really scary to look at.

Anyways,for my list of movie stars, pretty much any movie star that is annoying, in crappy movies and has proven many times over that they can't and shouldn't be acting. Also movie stars that are constantly in the tabloids and complaining about being in the tabloids. It isn't that hard, if you want to stay out of the tabloids, avoid drawing attentin to yourself. When you go out in town half naked and drunk, its pretty easy to tell tat you like the attention you are getting. Just my opinoin ofcourse.
