Mr. Miyagi vs. Yoda

This is from an old zine from Santa Cruz that isn't around anymore called BRIABRAK.
The humor, is a bit hit or miss but it's a truly original idea.

"Vegging out one day, watching both the Star Wars trilogy and the Karate Kid trilogy, we came to a startling revelation: the two masters of defense share uncanny qualities.

*Both Mr. Miyagi and Yoda share the same quest to teach an annoying beginner the fine art of defense.

*Yoda is about 950 years old, Mr. Miyagi is very old too, possibly older.

*Both Miyagi and Yoda talk with an accent that makes understanding them impossible.

*Miyagi has inspired many youths to learn karate. Yoda has frustrated millions who try to use the force to get the remote control.

*Both spell their names consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel-ect.

*Miyagi hobbles, Yoda wobbles.

*Both use unconventional teaching. Miyagi uses stuff like wax on, wax off. Yoda makes his pupil stand on his head while balancing Yoda on one foot and stack rocks.

*Mr. Miyagi eats exotic food, Yoda eats monkey dump.

*We are only given one of each individual's names. This makes them more mysterious (i.e. Cher). We however have learned their true names: Shlomo Miyagi and Yoda Bernstien.

*Yoda is single, Miyagi is single too, but desperately seeking Susan.

*Yoda fights the dark side. Miyagi fights an equally evil force- Cobra Chai.

*Mr. Miyagi has grey hair, Yoda has a grey body."

"The Premise:

Rumor has it that Yoda called Mr. Miyagi's mom [Expletive]. Miyagi ain't gonna take that. A fight is imminent.

Bets?

While Yoda appears to be the clear winner, let's give Mr. Miyagi some more spine. C'mon a swift kick to knee high Yoda could do it. Sure Yoda could use the force on him, but what could he do? But think about it, Mr. Miyagi could really do some damage.

Brian...Sure Miyagi could kick Yoda's butt with brute force-but Yoda's not just a little gross guy. He's a Jedi Master. A Jedi Master...By underestimating him you are no better than Luke on his first encounter with Yoda. He thought that a Jedi Master had to be big. But oh contrare, Yoda is an ally of the force "and a powerful ally it is". Think about it this way: all Yoda has to do is think about it and Miyagi's neck is snapped. Beat that.

Eric, Eric, Eric, Jedi Schmedi. Even if Miyagi's head does snap, no worries. Miyagi has the patented heat healing hands. Are you telling me that Yoda could withstand the dreaded "flamingo' kick? Face it Jedi or no Jedi Miyagi can kick butt.

All I have to say is Yoda could slice thru Miyagi's mid-section with his lightsaber faster than Dad with the Thanksgiving turkey.

Mr. Miyagi could "wax off" that slice faster than a robbery at a quickie-mart.

Yah, well at least Yoda isn't a spoiled upper class rich guy growing up in plush Los Angeles. He's from the hood."

 

It would depend lot's on what weapons were being used in the duel. If it was hand to hand, I would give the advantage to Miagi.
Saber's Yoda.
Now if Miagi had light-saber type nun chucks this could make all the difference in the world.

Daniel-San was a wuss!

I think Miyagi is the nephew of Saesee Tinn...giving him a little force usage himself. How else could he have beaten the crap out of the entire Cobra Kai Dojo?

As he says to Daniel in TKK Ep. I when asked, "how did you do that?"

"Don't know...first time!"

This proves something! He has force usage!!! He also trims and clips Bonsai trees...not an easy task!

I think he's the Jedi's secret gardener!
