Well, I hope it improves on version 4.7 Windows Messenger. Half the time it won't log in, the other half it keeps freezing half the time ...

I prefer MSN Messenger much more than Windows Messenger, and version 6 is SWEET! :D

I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and I really like it. Cool semi-new interface too.

    Sweet, this one looks awesome!

I'm not a real MSN IM guru, but I like to keep up to date on the programs I have, I only have about four people on my MSN buddy list, but what the heck! It looks cool so I'll download it just for the fun of it, nice background features too. :D

Thanks for letting me know about this man.

LOL, better than me. I have 3 :p

I play with it sometimes, like when AIM isn't working or I want to talk to someone who doesn't have it. I might download v6 tomorrow ... getting broadband then, and it'll be soo much faster than 56k :D

Another crap version of MSN Messenger released. I've always hated MSN mostly because it's Microsoft. The best IM program is ICQ.

I use AIM, Yahoo IM, and MSN Messenger.

Windows Messenger and MSN are slightly different. The Windows Messenger that comes with XP or most other Windows programs is older, and you have to DL the newer version from the website. I HATE the one that comes with XP.

I haven't DL'd vs6.0 yet but I've seen it and it looks really cool. I plan on DLing it to day or such. :)

EDIT: and icq is the worst IM program I've ever used.

I'm still using an old one, mainly because I hated the blue. Thereforce, I can't see cutesy smilies like (6) and (a).

Is this new one worth it?

nor did it provide you with a mike, before. It just supports it if you have one, from what I can tell.

Is this new one worth it?

not really, just that the appearance has been changed a lot, new emoticons(exciting!) and you can make your own emoticons and stuff. It doesn't provide you with webcam service or anything, Kaine, as Liz said, it supports it if there's a webcam installed, it'll help you project the images to others, that's it.

I got MSN 6 a while ago, it was all very bright and colourful.

I am sticking with MSN Plus for now.
