MTV True Life - Star Wars Episode

Hey All,

I've been trying to find a video of an episode of MTV True Life from about 7-10 years ago. The show was about a dad who was absolutely obsessed with Star Wars and a son who was embarrassed by it. The dad then convinces the son to go to a Star Wars convention (I think it was Celebration), and the son slowly starts to get really into the Star Wars mythos and everything while there, even putting n a storm trooper outfit and everything. I've been wanting to watch this episode again but I can't find video of it online anywhere! Anyone here know what I'm talking about? can help out?

I remember that...wasn't it called Obssesed or something like that? Yeah, the son dresses up as a Stormtrooper. Did you try to see if YouTube had it?

I love how at the end, the kid joined the dark side.

I think they all rebelled against their embarrassing parents in their own way.

 

I have to be honest, Charles... oops, I mean "Kin-Char Bamin"... I don't think he has a grasp on reality.

 

Well, each of the parents were weird in their own ways:

Dad in a band I was in a band in high school, so you can imagine my dad giving his advice on everything. Very embarrassing. It got worse, as he came up with the idea of him being our manager. As if he knew any record producers or anything I could actually use in music.

Star Wars dad You know, if my dad was that much of a fanboy, I'd probably start talking like Jar Jar just to annoy him. And maybe talk about how Greedo shooting first was a brilliant directorial decision. I wouldn't go so far as to kiss my sister, but I might dress like an Ewok. Just everything George Lucas has done over the years that makes us angry.

Nudist parents Luckily, my parents aren't nudists. I've been to a nude beach before; it was too skeezy for me. (Some actually have a rule that there must be at least one female for every male in every party.) That's not to say I wouldn't mind going again, if it weren't so skeezy.
