Mummy 3? Without Rachel Weisz?

Rachael Weis and Brendan Frasier will NOT Return

I don't know man... but unless they have very solid story, and good actors, they shouldn't make this movie.

But, then again, I didn't see the need for a Mummy Returns, either...

I liked The Mummy.

well, I figured that the updated franchise would total 6 movies...

Mummy Returns was stupid, the first one was good. I imagine the next one will be even worse.

 

For me, the Mummy was about the chemistry between the three main characters. Without them it would be a bad Indy clones or worse, a Lara Croft Wannabe...yuck.

I enjoyed the first 2 mummy films, but for me, without Brenden it just won't be the same

 

Besides there aren't many women out there that are as hot or hotter than Rachel!

Actually, I loved Mummy 2(or Mummy Returns).

Here is why, and exactly why M3 without them would be a terrible move.

M2 developed both the characters that I didn't actually expect, their pastlife! Like Evelyn is Actually Princess Nefertiri (Reincarnated). And, Rick is some 'savior' or something (damn I forgot) has a mark on his body. This perhaps is also the reason many didn't like the movie, but for me, it was a GOOD/COOL story twist.

These people has a past life connection with the Mummy (Imohtop), thus there IS a chemistry between these characters.

How stupid! If the actors don't want to come back I'd really rather they didn't make another one. The characters made the movie enjoyable.

 

That isn't my main concern, the concern is "Can they truly find better actors". who, No matter what will make it a great movie?

Probably not!

 

I hope they don't make a Mummy 3 film...Number one was good; heck, I even have the Jerry Goldsmith soundtrack! The only thing that was half-way decent in The Mummy Returns was the first five minutes, and The Scorpion King...Heh, don't even get me started on that peanut riddle piece of poo!

In short The Mummy III = Bad bombin'!

 

Looks like the Mummy is following JP's footsteps.

Jurassic Park = excellent

The Lost World: Jurassic Park = Not that great

JP3 = crap



The Mummy = excellent

The Mummy Returns = Not that great

The Mummy 3 = most likely to be crap.


Besides, there would have to be a new mummy...Imhotep and the Scorpion King are both in Hell.....


EDIT--Technically, though this is the Mummy 4,. since The Scorpion King is part of the Franchise.....


And Jerry Goldsmith abetter be doing the score! If not him, then someone just as good, like Hans Zimmer. (sadly, I don't think John William's style is right for the Mummy)

But anything is better than Alan Sylvestri....sure BTTF and Predator were good, but his music doesn't fit.

 

I think they should give it up now. I don't see how there can be another story that will have another ultimate showdown between good and evil that could destroy or save the world. Maybe the diamond Jonathan has at the end has something evil in it, but I think they should now leave it alone. Here are some names for the third Mummy.

The Mummy Forever
The Mummy: Ultimate Showdown
The Mummy: Revenge
The Mummy that won't go away
The Mummy Returns...again!

I thought The Scorpion King was supposed to count as The Mummy 3? It's crap but anyway.

 

I dont think they should make a third Mummy. The second one ended okay, and If they make a third one without Rachel Weiz I'm shure the movie will not be as good as the last two.

 

They were all bad except the first one. The first one was funny. The second one was horrible. I'm sure that Scorpion King was bad.

 

Mummy 3 will be as bad as or worse than JP4. unless these rumors about JP4 actually having a point are true...

 

If you really want to get revenge on the mummy 3 then when you go in to watch the movie, laugh insanely at times when nothing funny happens. For example, let's say the mummy says "Where is the jar of guts" and some other guy says "I think one of the O'Connels took it", point at the screen, stand up, and laugh very hard.
