I'm speaking of the score that sets in when it cuts to Padme's lake retreat for the first time, then ends after they kiss and returns to Obi-Wan at Kamino.

I think this piece is very beautiful. To be quite honest, it's one of my favorite little scoring pieces of the movies, especially the part before they kiss while they are walking.

I wish the theme that played there had been encorporated into a longer theme for the movie, but oh well.

Well, when it first cuts to the scene where they are stepping out of the boat, it's still the "Kamino" mystery theme playing. Quite nice, I might add.

I love the rise in music when they are kissing, then it suddenly cuts off. Very well done :)

yeah, I wonder if that was intentional on JW part, or if the editors had a recording of the orchestra cutting off that they thought would work perfect there... either way, pure brilliance!

And, it works well with the pacing, because instead of being a tragic moment, the music makes the moment comical... easing the tension and setting the tone for the rest of their interactions on Naboo. I love it!

The use of "sequence" for "love sequence" makes it seem like... Another type of film. :p

But seriousy, I agree, I love that part as soon as the music changes from the Mystery Theme to more romantic music, there's the chimes, then the harp (the scrolling camera as they walk toward the railing). Very awesome. :D

Oh, and I love how the love theme cuts off as well when Padmé breaks off their kiss. [face_laugh] Funny stuff! Everyone at the midnight showing I went to laughed! :D Great moment.

"Hi gutter? Have you seen Sithy's mind?"

"Why yes I have. It just floated by!"

I must say that every time by best friend and I watch that scene, she laughs!! There are other points at which you groan at the chessiness, but the music totally makes up for it.
